Y/n poked her boyfriend's shoulder over and over again.. He was ignoring you again, reading some damn book as always. She loved how he always read instead of being on his phone all the time, but he was always reading which was basically like being on your phone all the time.

John glanced at Y/n and then back at his book. Y/n sighed and rolled her eyes, poking him harder. "Johnnnn.." She groaned.

"Hm?" John glanced at her again as he flipped the page of his book. Y/n stared at the book for half a second, realising he was reading his own book. She quickly snapped the thought away and whined.

"Let's do something! Please, all you do is read.." Y/n leaned and straddled him, pushing his book down.

"What'd you suppose we do then, Y/n?" John asked, as she almost always suggested they do something, but she never had a clue honestly.

"Uhhhhhh... What do YOU want to do?" Y/n asked, looking at him.

"Read," John answered simply.

"I meant with me John!" Y/n crossed her arms. "Not what you want you do by yourself..."

"Well, we could read together-" John said jokingly, snickering slightly at the annoyed look on her face.

"JOHN! Suggest actual things we could do together that we BOTH want to do." Y/n looked unimpressed.

"We could go out on a walk, go get something to eat, anything you want, love." John shrugged, sitting up and kissing her nose. He looked at her.

"How about..." Y/n tapped on his book cover. "Hmmm.." She thought about it just as a strike of lightning flashed behind her. She jumped and gripped on John.

John chuckled at her reaction. "Guess we have to do something here then.. We can get George and Pattie over or something."

"Mm, you forgot that they were on holiday in Spain, didn't you?" Y/n sat up again and tapped her chin again in thought. "Ooo, I have an lovely idea!" She grinned looking at him with bright eyes.

"Well, spit it out, what is it?" John asked, actually interested.

"Didn't you and the lads just release your remix of And I Love Her on Spotify?" Y/n asked, her eyes lighting up even more so.

"Yeah, why?" John raised an eyebrow. "We could listen to it! Together! Cos I never listened to it yet.." Y/n explained, still excited.

John chuckled and shrugged. "Sure why not." He smiled.

"I'll be right back then." Y/n kissed his cheek before hopping up to get her her pajamas on and to go get her headphones and tablet. She came back to the living room ten minutes later and snuggled into John's side as she set up her tablet.

Y/n plugged her earbuds into the device and put one on before John put the other one on. They had to lean their heads on each other as to not make the earbuds fall out. Y/n smiled as the song started playing.

The thunder in the back crackled here and there, the rain puddling down along with the thunder. It was a pretty combination to the couple. They both loved rain.

After they had listened to the song multiple times in a row for about an hour, sang the song over and over again, Y/n fell asleep. John glanced at Y/n, noticing she wasn't humming or singing along anymore.

He chuckled and kissed her forehead as he took the earbuds out of his and her ears and set the tablet aside. He picked her up and carried her to their bedroom to rest. John set her down, changed into his pajamas and snuggled her as he slowly fell asleep as well, listening to the calming rain in the background.
