Chapter Two

The bell rings, "our last day of school is finally over" I squeal to my friends. Tyra laughs "who knows what college will hold for us"
I've known Tyra for 3 years, she's American but moved here for her dad's job. We became good friends pretty quickly.
"I know" says Jisoo. "It's going to be so exciting, we're finally adults"
I've known Jisoo since elementary school, we've been best friends ever since.
The three of us have been a tight knit close group of people since we've all met but I haven't even thought about telling them about me getting married. I'm going to have to tell them sooner or later as it's not going to be a secret for long.
"Talking about being adults, I have something to tell you guys" I say slowly. "What is it?" Jisoo says, eyes softening. She can usually sense when I'm upset or nervous about something and this was one of those times. Just as she finished asking my dads car pulled up outside of school. "I'm sorry guys, I better go" I say before hugging both of them and walking towards the car. "You better tell us" Tyra calls after me. I give a small laugh before I get into the car.

"Hi sweetheart" my dad said as he begins to drive.

"Hey dad" I say. "where are we going?" I noticed we aren't going the way we usually go home. 

"We're going to the Kim house, you'll get to meet your fiancé" 

I sigh as he says fiancé, I can't believe this is actually happening. "Well he's not my fiancé yet dad" I say annoyed 

"Come on honey aren't you excited? He's a very nice man, I'm sure you'll get along with him just fine" 

"I'm sure I will dad" I slump in my seat, I'm screaming inside. Why is this happening. Just as I finish that thought the car pulls up into a driveway. I look up at the house it's huge, I can't believe someone lives in somewhere so big and beautiful. I get out of the car and follow my dad to the front door, he presses the doorbell. I fiddle with my end of my sleeve as I am nervous, as much as I didn't want to be here, I'm still going to marry him and live with him every single day.  The door opens, revealing a women standing at the door.

"Hello" she says with a bright smile, "Please come in." 

My dad walks into the house, me following after. 

"Thank you for having us" my dad says before a man walks into the room. "Mina" my dad starts "I would like you to introduce you to Mr and Mrs Kim, your future parents in law"

I bow to them both "It's nice to meet you, Mr and Mrs Kim." 

Mrs Kim smiles "you have a very polite daughter" she says to my dad

"Thank you" my dad says "she only been raised by the best" he proudly boasts 

"Of course" Mrs Kim says. She turns to me "Mina." 

I smile nervously. "Yes" I squeak out 

"You can get ready up stairs, I've picked out a dress for you to wear" she says.

'Woah, this women is generous' I think to myself.

"There's make-up and everything you need up there" she continues 

"Thank you so much Mrs Kim, I really appreciate it" I say with a smile so my dad can't complain at me for being ungrateful. 

"Oh it's nothing" she says "it's the least I can do for my daughter in law" 

I chuckle nervously, this is so awkward, I can't believe this is actually happening. 

"Well she's not our daughter in law yet" Mr Kim pipes in "speaking of which we still have wedding plans to discuss." 

I guess thats my que to leave, I head towards the stairs to get ready

"It's the first door on the left" Mrs Kim calls behind me. 

I turn around and smile "thank you" I say once again before quickly going up stairs.
