Leo's P.O.V
Sophie had fallen asleep in the car last night and I had volunteered to carry her back to the dorm at the shelter. I had placed her carefully on the bed next to mine, where she had placed all her belongings, before getting into my own bed and watching her carefully.
Ever since she had arrived here her wavy brown hair and glistening blue-green eyes had intrigued me. The way she carried herself was so elegant and the relationship she had with her best friend Zach was even enviable.
I had successfully kept myself distant from her so far. I knew that I was leaving in two days and didn't want myself to get too attached to a girl whom I knew I could not have. I couldn't do that to myself, nor her.
There was no harm in admiring from afar, however.
At least I hope not.
Sophie's P.O.V
I woke up confused this morning. I a bed which I did not recognise and with no real recollection of how I actually got there.
It took me a few moments to remember where I was, in Indonesia, at the beginning of mine and Zach's dream adventure.
The mystery of how I ended up in bed, however, could not be solved.I was up long before everyone else and was sitting in the dining room reading the notice board when Zach sauntered in, slightly rubbing sleep out of his eyes.
"Morning sleepyhead"I teased, giving Zach a kiss on the cheek as I moved past him and into the kitchen.
"Cup of tea?"
I shouted behind me, barely glancing in Zach's direction as I dumped two teabags into some disposable cups and began boiling the kettle.
Truth be told, I didn't need Zach to answer me as I already knew what his answer would be. That boy never turned down a cup of tea in the morning. It had been his daily routine since he was around 15."Yes please munchkin, I don't know what I'd do without you sometimes"
Zach mumbled towards me a cheeky smile playing on his lips. Oh my, what really would I do without my brother.
Both of us turned towards the door as we heard footsteps and I immediately noticed the perfect mop of blonde hair appear in the doorway.
"Hey Leo"
Zach greeted and Leo replied with a ,"Hey mate" as they pulled each other into one of those hug things that men always seem to do.
I was too busy running my eyes over his tanned skin that was exposed by the wide necked white tshirt and jean shorts that he was wearing that I almost didn't catch the, "Morning Sophie" that rolled off his perfectly pink tongue. Oh wow did my name sound good coming from his lips.
I quickly managed to pull myself together and offered him a cup of tea, to which he quickly accepted.
By the time we had finished drinking everyone else in the shelter, including Helen, seemed to be awake and had come to join us at the table.
After eating breakfast together and being told that we were going to the elephant reserve today we were dismissed to go and get dressed.
I was beyond excited, elephants had been my favourite animal since I was about 5.After brushing my long hair and placing it in a messy bun on top of my head, I brushed my teeth and washed my face. Makeup was something I had given up with completely on this trip. I'm pretty sure it would all just melt off my face anyway.
I left the bathroom and went straight to my bag, picking out a patterned bikini to place under my clothes (since we were going to the lakes) and some jean shorts and a navy vest top. I quickly got changed as no one else was in the room and wandered out to the land rover where everyone else was already assembled.Once again I spent a long journey perched uncomfortably on Zach's lap but I didn't mind as I was so desperate to go and see the elephants.
We all piled out of the car when we arrived at the reserve and were greeted by an oldish sort of man wearing camouflage."Good morning, I am the owner of this reserve and am glad to welcome you into my passion and my life"
He stated as we all congregated infront of him.The morning was spent mostly wandering around the reserve in awe of all the incredible creatures that surrounded us. The old man from earlier had been lovingly introducing us to all of the elephants which was incredibly sweet.
"Girls and boys, I'm going to put you into your partners so we can ride the elephants in the stream over there"
The old man stopped and pointed."Now for the partners, you two first please."
He pointed towards me and Leo as we were standing next to each other in our small congregation. My heart fluttered a small amount and an electricity travelled up my arm as Leo grabbed my hand and lead us towards the most beautiful creature.
Stop Sophie, you've only known this boy a matter of days and you're leaving tomorrow, you barely even know him.
Despite what my brain told me, my heart still persisted in telling me a completely different thing. There was just something about the bright blue eyes and perfect blond hair that was so utterly enticing.
We ended up having an amazing afternoon and I found out so much more about the boy who was consuming my brain, yet I failed to miss the glances that were being shot in my direction from Zach.
Only I wondered what they were supposed to mean.

I apologise that it's still quite boring I'm just getting the story going and need to get this phase out of the way. I promise it will start to get more exciting soon!
