"Yeah, it's a whole pack of werewolves. But not just any werewolves, Alphas. So...things are about to get a lot more stressed around here." I warned my dad as we were training in the morning. We were sparring right now, him teaching me and reminding me how he didn't want me growing "soft" or anything. Especially since there was a new threat in town, he wanted me to be as prepared as I possibly could be.
"Alphas are one of the apex predators, you're up against some dangerous creatures and that means training harder, longer. I'm not losing you and since I can't convince you to stay out of it, we're training five times as much, every single day, twice a day even. Be prepared because I'm not holding back any longer." Dad said before grabbing me by the arm and flipping me to the ground.
I groaned when my back hit the floor, dad laughing at me before offering me his hand. I reached to grab it, smirking before pulling him to the ground and twisting his arm back. "I learned from the best." I smirked before letting go of his arm, taking a drink of water. "Dammit, that's Stiles. I'm gonna be late now. I'll text you if anything happens." I hugged dad before turning to start getting ready.
"Wait.." Dad said, making me stop and turn around to look at him. I looked at him confused as he walked over to me, pulling me in for a tight hug. I hugged him back, laughing slightly before asking him what that was for. "I love you..I don't think I'd survive if I lost you." Dad told me, smiling down at me.
"I feel the same way. Love you too." I smiled before leaving to go get ready.

"Hey, I wanted to come make sure everything was okay.." I said, entering Derek's loft.
You know, considering there are a pack of homicidal killers running around trying to kill us all...You think Derek would learn to lock his door. I stood there awkwardly, noticing the look on Derek's face. He looked annoyed i had showed up but I tried breaking the ice by offering him the cookies I had baked. I know it sounds stupid but I mean... what kind of treat do you bring to say 'I'm so happy you found your formerly deceased sister alive and well'. They don't exactly make Hal-Mart cards for that sort of thing.
I walked over to Derek, setting the plate of cookies down while I noticed the glare Derek was shooting my way. "I brought other gifts as well..Consider it a house warming type of thing?" I offered him a small smile, setting the little plant I had in my bag down on his table. "And I also assumed you'd be so busy worrying about everything that you'd probably forget to eat..Wouldn't want you dying of starvation before you have a chance to get your vengeance for what the Alpha pack did to Cora. And what they're probably going to do to the rest of us...So, I made this for you and Cora. Peter can starve for all I care though?" I laughed, noticing that Derek let a little, small subtle smile form on his face. I set down the pasta casserole I had made, it probably didn't taste like a five star restaurant one would taste like but from what Stiles and Scott told me, it's pretty good so... Well, i tried my best.
Derek smirked, looking down at the plate of cookies on the table. "Peanut butter is my favorite. How'd you know?"
I shrugged my shoulders, smiling. "I had a hunch. Not to mention that the one time you gave me a ride home, there was a wrapper for nutter butter in your drink holder."
"That's quite a hunch."
"Yeah, well..I guess I've had my eyes opened recently. I notice things more now." I offered Derek a small smile. "Give Cora my best, let me know if there's anything you need. I need to get going to school."
