"I'm sorry Denis I don't have feeling for you I never did." Alex says feeling Denis with sadness and confusion Denis repeats the words in his head leaving the room full of silence. Denis didn't understand because Alex and Denis had been in a relationship for five years but that whole time Alex never had feelings for Denis. Questions quickly filled Denis brain questions like "Why would he stay with me if he never had feelings for me?" and "Will I ever find another lover as great as Alex?" Denis decides to finally speak up to get rid of the awkward silence.
"Oh it's okay I understand." Denis says lying, Denis didn't understand at all.
"I better go." Alex says walking to the door.
"Good-bye Alex..." Alex shuts the door behind him and Denis let's out a sigh trying to hold his tears back
~Time skip to next week~
Denis POV:
It's been a week since the break-up and I still can't get Alex off my mind.
I walk over to my computer to play games hoping it would help get Alex off my mind. It didn't help get Alex off my mind at all. I was brain storming for ideas to help get him off my mind
I could go shopping.... Nahh I'm not one to shop, I could go to the library.... Nope I don't really read.... Maybe I should go to the park... Yes that's perfect the park always makes me happy and surely it will help me get Alex off my mind! I grab my keys and rush to my car, I start to drive to the park but as I'm in the car I realize that I'm depressed I start to fall into a dark hole of depression and sadness it's all because of Alex who never loved me like he said he did.
I start to wonder if my existence even mattered. Alex was the only thing that made me happy he was perfect in my eyes.
Flashbacks started playing in my head flashbacks of when he said he loved me and flashbacks of his lips on mine but now I realise every time he kissed me or every time he said he loved me it was insincere. I let out a sigh and arrive at the park. I then get out of my car and walk over to a bench and sit down I watch the children play and laugh but then out of the corner of my eye I see a man sit by me on the bench I look over at him and wow was he cute his ocean blue eyes and his chestnut brown hair I can't help but to stare at him he notices and looks over at me and says "Hello."
Corls POV:
I notice a man staring at me at first it was a bit... Creepy but then I look over at him he seemed familiar...
"Hello." I say trying to be friendly but it came out as awkward "Oh u-umm hi!" He says awkwardly.
"My name is Braden but people call me Corl, what's yours?" I say trying to guide the conversation I sound so awkward I think to myself.
"Oh.. uh... I'm Dingo.. I mean Denis!" He said. I laughed in my brain when he said 'Dingo'.
"Nice to meet you." I say.
(Denis's POV)
"Nice to meet you." He says. I nod and smile and look down at the grass. I still wonder why Alex would do this to me. My thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Corl.
"Are you alright? You seem down." He asked me. Should I tell him the real reason? What if he thinks it's weird.
"My boyfriend broke up with me.." I said quietly.
"Oh.. I'm so sorry, I've been there." Corl said.
I look up and him and look at him in disbelief. There's no way..
"His name was Biff. He said he loved me.. he never did.." Corl said.
It was just like my story.
"I mean, being so friendly could get you anyone I bet." I told him. He smiled.
"Braden!" A little girl said running over.
"Hey, Layni! Are you ready to go?" Corl asked the little girl.
"Yes! Whose that?" The gir- well I'm assuming Layni asked.
"This is Denis, Denis this is my little sister Layni." Corl said. She waved shyly.
"Go say by to your friends and then we can leave, okay?" Corl said. Layni nodded and ran back over to her friends.
"Can I get your number?" Corl asked me.
"Of course! I don't really have many friends besides Sket- Elijah." I said. I pulled out my phone and showed him my number.
"Thanks! We can talk sometime." Corl said. Layni ran back over.
"I gotta run, Denis. Talk to you later!" Corl said before Layni pulled him to the car.
