Alex's Death - Part Four

- The Next Day -

(Denis's POV)
I woke up to a quite beautiful day. I got out of bed and put on my "I <3 Cats" T-Shirt and started walking down the hall to the stairs.
I suddenly heard my voice in Layni's room.
I knocked and I suddenly heard it shut off.
"So, you're a fan?" I smirked. I heard her laugh.
"Yeah!" She called back. I laugh and walked downstairs.
I suddenly got a phone call from Mollee.
I answered.
Denis: Hey, M. What's up?
Mollee: Bro, can't wait to see your stupid face next week.
Denis: Haha.
Mollee: also.. man.. I got a call from the police..
Denis: I didn't do anything I swear!
Mollee: I know... it's... Alex..
Denis: What? What happened?!
Mollee: a little while after he left your house the police said that they found him near your house a day after on the side of the rode with glass shards everywhere on his body and his glasses were broken..
Denis: What are you saying..?
Mollee: He died...
Denis: .....

I hung up on Mollee and bursted into tears. What.. why?? I.. Alex..! Even though we aren't together anymore still doesn't mean that he isn't my best friend in the world!
"Hey, Denis is something wrong?"
I turn around to see Corl standing there.
I couldn't even speak, I was still in shock and crying very hard.
Corl walked closer to me and hugged me
"I don't know what's going on but I'm here when your ready to talk about it." He whispered in my ear.
I hugged him back and my tears were running down my face onto his back.
We stood there hugging for a little while.
"Sorry.." I said.
"Sorry for what?"
"Sorry for getting tears all over the back of your shirt."
"Denis, it's okay." He said comforting, then he smiled.
I then explained to Corl what happened.
"Oh, Denis I'm so sorry!"
"It's f-fine.."
I had stopped crying thanks to Corl he was very comforting and knew just what to say.
"Thank you Corl."
"For what?"
"For being there for me, you knew just what to say.."
A blush appeared across Corl's face.
He looked so adorable I just wanted to kiss him right then and there.
I moved closer to him and he moved closer to me until we were chest to chest.
I put my left hand on his cheek.
His hand met my right hand so we were holding hands.
He put his arm around my back.
I then saw this as the perfect opportunity to kiss him so I moved my face closer to his and kissed him.
He kissed me back then I heard someone walking downstairs but I didn't think about it and we continued to kiss.
We then pulled away and looked each other in the eyes.
"..."
"..."
We then looked to the side of us and saw Layni standing there staring.
She then started singing
"Ooo Corl has a boyfriend, Corl has a boyfriend!! And his boyfriend is Denis, and Denis plus Corl equals umm... DORL!"
We both blush
"Shut up Layni.:" Corl said as he blushed more.
It was kinda awkward for a moment, Layni was trying not to laugh and me and Corl were both sorta embarrassed.
"I'm... I'm so sorry, Denis." Corl said as he backed up a bit.
"No, no! Everything's fine.... I mean.. unless you don't like me.. that's okay though." I assured him.
"No! Denis, I don't like you!" Corl said.
