Danny's P.O.V
I had just settled down to watch the game after long day at work, when there was a knock st the door. I sighed pushed myself up off of the couch wondering who would be knocking st this time of night.
Who I didn't expect to be there was Steve, much less with a six pack of beer and pizza. "I brought food" was his only remark no hello or good evening.
"Okay thanks but what are you doing here"
"Can't I just drink beer with my buddy and watch the game or some films" he replied in a way to smiley way.
"Yes okay come in" I said reluctantly
I once again settled on the sofa but this time with pizza, beer and Steve. I half expected my pizza to have pineapple on it like usual but to my surprise it was pineapple free.
At half time Steve turned to me. "I need to talk to you about something" I was sceptical because he was nervous but I wanted to hear what he had to say.
Steve's P.O.V
I was nervous! And that's an understatement, I had sweaty palms and I couldn't look him in the eye. "Okay...." he said sceptically, I could tell he knew I was nervous. "Danny I..." but almost as soon as I had geared myself up to tell him I like him his phone rang. Of course he looked at it and answered, as he walked into the kitchen I heard him say "hey monkey". Ahhh it was Grace, don't get me wrong I love Grace but I was about to tell Danny I liked him more then a friend. As soon as he had answered the phone the moment was ruined.
Danny's P.O.V
"Goodbye monkey", I hung up the phone and walked back into the living room.
"Okay Steve what was it you wanted to tell me"
"Ummm it doesn't matter I have to go" and with that he was up and out of the door, leaving me in a shocked state of confusion. I guess I'll just ask him tomorrow.
