Percy's {P.O.V}
About just under an hour later after Artemis left the kitchen tent - while she was acting a little weird - I was walking towards the archery range.
After I left the kitchen tent, I took a shower and changed my clothes, because I somehow managed to get my old ones wet from washing the dishes.
But it's not really my fault as you should have seen the numbers of plates, glasses and cutlery there were to wash. There were a lot of dirty dishes.
I shook my head, to get rid of my thoughts as I reached the archery range. I looked up to see that Artemis was already there.
She stood in front of a target that was 10 meters away from her, as she was holding her bow, with an arrow pulled back on the string.
She stood gracefully, her stance was perfect. And as I looked at her I prayed to the gods that she wouldn't kill me for wasting her time in her trying to teach me archery.
I slowly walked towards her as she released the arrow, and it flew at the target 10 meters away from her. She hit a bullseye.
I instantly stopped walking as I slowly turned around. Maybe if I just left unnoticed, and I wouldn't come back here at all she will not make me do archery, I thought.
Because there is no way I will ever be able to even be 1% close to scoring a bullseye.
I slowly and quietly started walking away from the archery range. I made sure not to make any sound.
"And where do you think you're going?" Suddenly a voice behind me spoke, as I froze in my tracks. I slowly turned around to face the goddess of the hunt.
"Nowhere," I answered quickly. Artemis raised an eyebrow at me, as she crossed her arms over her chest.
I sighed. "I'm rubbish at archery," I told her. "I can't even shot the target."
She shook her head. "Well that's why I'm going to teach you how to do it." She then surprisingly grabbed my hand and led me to the middle of the archery range which hand a lot of targets around it.
We stood in front of one of the targets which was about 5 meters away. I honestly felt a bit pity for Artemis because she was not going to have a good time teaching me archery.
I looked over at the goddess to see her look over at me too, she then quickly looked down.
Artemis then realised she was still holding my hand and she quickly let go of it, as if I gave her an electric shock.
I decided not to comment. She then out of nowhere gave me a deep sea green bow. "If you're going to be in my hunt for a while then you have to at least be decent with a bow," she told.
I slowly took the bow and wondered how long it will take for Artemis to give up on this idea. "Right, stand in a stance," she ordered.
I tried what she told me to do. "And now hold your bow up and pull the string." I pulled the string and a silver arrow appeared on the pulled back string.
Wow, I thought. Artemis slowly walked around me in circles and she fixed my stance by either moving my feet with her leg gently, fixing how my hands were positioned and the way I was holding the bow.
She then stepped back. "Now I want you to shoot," she told me. I took a deep breath and I released the arrow.
It missed the target completely. The goddess of the hunt frowned. "How did you manage to miss the target?"
