I watch as Louis turns onto a road that seemed fairly busy. My mind swirls in confusion when I see a dead end sign that seems to shine as his headlights trail over it. The road seemed to get less and less busy the more we went down, and I find my head tilting as we pull up to an strange building that sat oddly on a hill. There were long stairs that led up to it, and it almost looked like a cozy home. Like a cabin almost but much larger.

"What is it?" My eyes dart in every direction trying to take in how beautiful it looked from here.

"A book store." I stare a Louis oddly before sending the look to the building.

"A book store?" What an odd place to have a book store.

Louis chuckles. "I know it isn't exactly well known because it's kind of in the middle of no where, but I know you'll like it." He smiles as me before getting out of the car. Reaching for the handle, the door suddenly opens and Louis beams at me.

"Thanks." I was slightly suprised by how much of a gentlemen he was, but he was Louis. And there was really no way to explain him. He was different from anyone I had ever met. So true and pure almost. He loved to be himself, and I liked that.

"So you took me all this way just to show me a book store?" I jokingly say as we begin our way up the long white wooden steps.

"Well I know you're not too familiar with the area yet, and I thought if you knew where a book store was, it would make you feel a little better." He shrugs a little embarrassed.

"I've never had someone do something like this for me. This is really sweet thanks." I smile at him trying to reasure him. What if Louis brought me here because he didn't just want to welcome me? What if he thought this was something more than just two friends hanging out? I try to push the thoughts away, but they wouldn't leave my messy mind.

"So there's a few books here I want you to read, which I'm not sure if you already have read them, but they're amazing." His smile looks distant almost like he was thinking about every word of the books he was talking about. I was familiar with this look, of being distant. It had become more than familiar, it had actually become the facial expression that replaced all my others.

"Ok so a good- old friend of mine told me about these books and they're so amazing and I want you to read them ok?" I hadn't noticed we already made our way into the store and snaking around familiar and comforting book shelves.

Louis seemed to know exactly where to go, so I made sure to stay close by. The store seemed fairly empty, maybe because it was kind of late. The drive here look a while, and sting slightly as we grew closer to the too familiar road.

"So here's A Death in the Family. It's actually kind of sad, but it's really amazing. My friend recommended it to me, and it's quite amazing." He goes on and on about how great the book was, until he finally reaches up and pulls a book from the very top shelf. It had a blue cover, with a yellow sun in the top right corner. Black mountains were slightly visible under the title, and there was something so beautiful about it.

"What's it about?" I take it from his hand and fun my fingers over the spine.

"It's about this kid who's dad had a heart attack and then ends up dying in a car accident." The words seem to stab deeper into the whole that was already opened in my stomach.

"Oh." I manage to say as my eyes sting as they run over the book title once more.

"Um there's also this one-" I could tell he knew I was uncomfortable, and he was just trying to change the subject. If only he knew there was a war going on in my mind at any mention of the words he had just said.

I watch Louis scan the shelves once more as if he had memorized every inch of them.

"Here-" He pulls out a familiar book that's cover held a whale and a ship.

"Moby-Dick." I nod saying for him.

"You've read it?" He seems disappointed almost, but the life shoots back into him as I shake my head.

"No. But of course I know what it is." I chuckle.

He hands me the books happily and I follow him to the cash register. I had almost forgotten this was a book store not a library, until Louis buys the books for me.

Scolding him he shrugs.

"I was just trying to do something nice. You can repay me later." He lightly smiles as we walk out of the door.

It was dark by now, and I wait for my eyes to adjust. But suddenly I hit something hard causing me to curse under my breath.

"Louis?" I hadn't ran into something, I had ran into someone. And I recognized the voice, which caused an odd feeling enter my stomach. Possible disgust.

"What are you doing here?" I glance up at the familiar blue eyes that still seemed to flatter me as much as I hate to admit it.

"Just leaving." Louis grumbles grabbing my arm and pulling me around Niall.

"Can't believe you'd bring her here." He mumbles causing me to slightly snap.

"Why not?" I remove my arm from Louis grip to look at Niall. Challenging him.

He wore all black, and white shoes. His hair sat on his forehead messily, different from his usual messy spike.

"Because you have no right to even be here." He looks at Louis instead of me, as if he were speaking to me, but Louis at the same time.

"We're not doing this now." Louis obviously felt uncomfortable, and my irritation was growing from the minute as Niall grew more angry. Why was it his place to say I wasn't welcome here? Why was it such a big deal.

"Louis don't play this shit with me." He walks toward him causing me to instantly step between them.

"Move." His eyes seemed to be fire, and slightly scared me. He seemed furious, almost dangerous.

"No." I flatly say watching his jaw clench. His eyes trail over to Louis as if to tell him to make me move.

"Liya-" I raise my hand at him. I would not let this asshole talk to him that way. There was nothing wrong with Louis and I being here, and Niall had no right treating me or Louis like this.

"Louis you have no fucking right bringing her here." His eyes looked even worse. His normal blue seemed to turn black.

"I can bring her wherever I want Niall." Louis dares back. Suddenly Niall is charging toward Louis causing my hands to push against Niall's hard chest to stop him. Shock over comes me as I tumble to the ground from a heavy push. Hitting my head in a too familiar spot off of the ground, my vision blurs. Laying there motionlessly for a moment, I hear Louis yelling.

"What the fuck is wrong with you! You're a fucking asshole!" I open my eyes and watch Louis push Niall roughly causing him to stumble backwards slightly. His eyes were full of shock and on me, which made it hard not to burst into tears. Suddenly, Niall is at my side helping me up causing me to jolt away. His face turns pained almost, but still completely shocked from his actions.

"Don't- don't touch me." I shakily move behind Louis who had made his way to my side.

"I- I'm sorry I didn't-" He stutters obviously still in shock from his actions.

Louis shakes his head and grabs my hand leading me down the familiar white wooden steps leaving a expressionless Niall to sort things out for himself.

I wasn't even sure how to feel. I was scared honestly. I had never been touched that way by a guy- and it frightened me. I never wanted to feel this way again. I felt so small. So helpless. I hated it.

"Are you ok? Did he hurt you? Does anywhere hurt?" Louis finally speaks as he helps me into the passenger seat which I was completely capable of doing myself.

"I'm fine Lou. Please just take me home." I breath setting the plastic bag that held my few books between my feet.

I stare straight ahead as Louis drives back down the unfamiliar windy roads we had came down. With thoughts of Niall scattered in my head.
