Naya's Perspective:
To say that I'm not panicking right now would be a lie.
Pacing back and forth is not calming my anxious nerves like I wish it would. Taking some deep breaths would help, but unfortunately this tight black dress is restricting any air flow.
I am not Tatiana's size! Why would they think that this is a good idea?
"Hey are you alright?" Says a voice from behind me.
I turn around to see Annie with Malik and Nadia at each hip. They all have put on faces of excitement.
"Usually I would say that I am, but that wouldn't be the truth. I'm actually horrified." I reveal while still shaking.
"Mommy! We heard you get to dance with Daddy tonight!" Announced Nadia.
"This makes us so happy! We can't wait!" Added Malik.
They grab on to each of my bare legs and hug them.
"Sorry, I may have spilled the beans on telling them that you're performing tonight." Annie says with her face winced.
"It's fine..." I started. "They would find out eventually."
"Are you coming to our family sleepover in Daddy's room later?" Asked Malik.
Nadia's eyes grew wide at Malik's question and she gave him a death glare.
"Malik! That was supposed to be a surprise!" She snapped.
After Malik realized the mistake he's made, he put him hand over his mouth and his eyes grew to the size of Nadia's.
"Sleepover? What sleepover?" I ask confused.
"Nothing! Don't listen to him." Nadia interjects.
Hmm I wonder what's going on...I'll have to investigate later...
"Okay guys! Let's go take a seat! The show will be starting soon! What do you say to Mommy?" Annie asked both of the children.
"Good luck Mommy!" Shouted the kids over top of each other.
"Hey good luck! You'll do fine! I know it!" Encouraged Annie as she brought the kids over to a VIP area to watch the show.
I lean my body up against a wall and begin chewing my nails out of stress and nervousness. Suddenly, a hand grabbed my shoulder, causing me to jump back.
"Relax, it's just me." Michael informed me. I timidly turn around to face him and he gives me a startled look.
"Are you alright? You look pale as a ghost." He says and puts a hand on my cheek to feel my temperature. I grab his hand and gently pull it away.
"Michael I'm fine. I'm just a little scared that's all." I answer while turning my head toward the stage.
"Come here, I know what will make you feel better." He says in a calming tone.
