Michael's Perspective:

New York, New York
March 1, 1988

Breathe in and breathe out, Michael.

I take a peek outside the limousine's window and see all the beautiful lights that came from the tall buildings.

Ahh New York, such a beautiful place. I love touring here.

I wonder what Naya, Tatiana, and the kids are doing right now. Since I had a little rehearsal at Madison Square Garden, I wanted them to get the chance to explore the city. This is so exciting being the kids' first time being here! Naya loves New York.

Naya...

I messed things up bad a few days ago. I guess I thought that she felt the same way by the way she looked me in the eyes, the way she dressed, and the way she smiled. Every little curve of her face made her look perfect when she smiled.

When she was happy...Before you messed things up.

We haven't really talked much either. Things kind of went back to the way they were. She didn't talk to me and I didn't talk to her. Tatiana, on the other hand, has been acting better lately. She finally came up to me and apologized for kissing me and she said she wouldn't do it again. Especially around other people. My manager Frank has been really concerned by her behavior. He laid the law down that if she causes any unnecessary drama with the press, she'll be removed from the tour immediately.

God...I don't want that...She's done such a good job.

Upon arriving at the hotel, there were fans everywhere. The driver tried to get around the frenzy to drop me off in the back, but it was no use.

"Sorry Mr. Jackson, this is so crazy." He said apologizing.

"No, no you're doing your job fine. It's my job that's difficult. I bet I'll have to run to the lobby." I said, trying to make him feel better.

A bodyguard who was with me clearly did not want me to do that.

"No way Mister Jackson. They'll eat you alive out there. I'll call for extra security."

I lean back against my seat and shut my eyes. I give out a grunt.

Damn it, this is going to take forever.

About a half an hour later, security and police got the situation under control to the point where I could be driven to the back. There, I could exit the vehicle safely and make it to my room.

When I entered the hotel, I noticed Bill standing and waiting for me.

"Hey Mike, you alright?" He asked.

"Yeah I'm fine, weren't you with the girls and the kids?" I asked with concern.

"Mike, we got back ages ago. While you were stuck dealing with the fans, we were able to get back in here with no problems." He answered.
