"Hey! Brett!"
The brunette slowed her pace as she heard Tyler call out her name from behind her. She felt a smile grow across her face as she turned around to face her co-star.
"Hey Posey!" She said, surprised that she had ran into him of all people.
He jogged up to her, a wide grin spreading across his mouth. No matter how hard Grier tried to not feel phased by it, it still made her feel weak at the knees. He grinned as he reached over and plucked one of the earphones out of her ear and rammed it into his own.
"What you listening to?" Tyler asked, falling into pace next to her as they began walking to set sharing the headphone set.
This was so familiar to her. This was the basis on how their friendship had been formed long before their feelings complicated it all; sharing music with each other.
"Our old song" she muttered, watching as his face filled with recognition at the song. It let a slight awkward tinge in the air, for the song sent memories back through both of them.

"ONE STEP AT A TIME JUST YOU AND I!!!!" Tyler yelled out from the top of the building as they shared the music between them. Grier laughed out loud, covering her mouth as she watched him spread his arms and spin to face her.
They had been doing a promotion for the show in New York, and Jeff had managed to get them a private late night tour of the Empire State building for a small cast and crew party as they wrapped up season 3.
Grier smiled at him through her hands as she covered her face from the embarrassment of him publicly singing to her in such a place. Although, the rest of the cast was oblivious to the relationship that was beginning to form between the two co-workers, so she didn't have much reason to worry.
They rested against the glass as they stared out across the skyline of Manhattan.
"It's beautiful," Tyler mused, his eyes reflecting the sparkling lights.
But Grier found herself unable to take her eyes off him. His carefree smile was much more spectacular than any street lights below them.
"It is," she agreed, her eyes still trailing over his face.
_______
Grier was tired from the long day of shooting. More scenes with Tyler had left her in a state of confusion about her feelings for the man. She had thought that her love for him was gone after everything they had gone through, but it was still in her chest as loud as it had ever been.
Walking into the lift, she hit the button before pressing her head against the cold metal of the wall as it began to move. She took a deep breath as it came to a halt, ignoring the doors opening as she knew this wasn't her floor.
"Brett," the voice breathed, a casual but also surprised tone filling the lift. While Tyler had only recently taken to calling her by her surname, the way it fell from his lips was something that she was still trying to wrap her head around.
The doors closed behind him as the two shared a soft smile in the enclosed space.
"How was your-" Tyler started, but was cut off as there was a jolt that caused him and Grier to stumble forwards into each other. The lights in the lift flickered for a second before a smaller and warmer light came on, accompanied by the small warning alarm that symbolised the lift had broken down.
Grier took a breath, but she knew that Tyler could already tell she was beginning to freak out. She hated being trapped in small spaces, and the fact she was already worked up about her feelings for Tyler wasn't helping her to stay calm.
He didn't know what else to do.
So he moved forward, slamming his lips into hers the way he had always known how to do. Grier paused for the shortest of moments before her hands found their way to wrap around his body - almost like it was back to the old times.
She smiled, her nerves fading as she kissed him back passionately. There had been a lot of change between them in the past year, but Grier and Tyler both knew this moment was when everything changed for them.
"Just you and I," Tyler whispered against her lips as they pulled back, a smile that matched hers spread across his face.
Grier grinned wider, slamming her body back into his as they waited for someone to save them (and interrupt their long-needed make-out session).
