the field, covered in an abundance of flowers swaying in the light breeze, was lit by the sunset. the flowers, a multitude of different colours painting the horizon, were seating a silhouette figure. the figure sat unmoving, looking like an accidental splat on a beautiful artwork.

wade took a few steps forward, each step bringing him closer to the silhouetted figure in the distance. when he was standing behind the person, reaching a hand out to touch their shoulder he suddenly felt weightless; floating into the sky. he looked below him, inching further and further from the ground and the figure who finally moved. they turned and looked up at wade, large, white, circular eyes looking right into wade's. before wade looked away the figure let out a horrifying scream from their seemingly mouth-less face.

wade blocked his ears and squeezed his eyes shut, tears brimming his eyes. before the figure faded out of sight wade opened his eyes, widely in shock-

wade sat up in bed with blurry eyes and tears streaking down his face. he clutched his chest as he let out heavy breathes.

"you okay?"

he whipped his head in the direction of the voice, his vision coming through.

sitting on his torn recliner was spiderman, wearing a jacket over his normal suit. he sat with crossed legs and had a phone in his hand.

"what the fuck are you doin' here?" deadpool realised he fell asleep in his suit and although he was thankful spiderman couldn't see what he really looked like, the heat in his apartment was really wearing on him.

"well, it just so happens that i stayed up all night investigating the double d-pool... and i realised just how easy it was to capture him so i went and checked on him. and waddya know? gone. funny, really, he left no mark of leaving or how he got out."

deadpool nodded, still adjusting to his post nightmare, "so... what?"

spiderman moved his legs to have his knees to his chest, he slipped the phone into his jacket pocket. "although i'm not quite sure what happened, i think he just... poof."

"poof?"

spiderman nodded, "what did you dream about? you were really distressed and thrashed a bit, you also screamed it freaked me out."

"oh..." wade rubbed the back of his neck. "i can't remember."

"alright, well," spiderman stood up. "want to get some breakfast?"

"ooh, is the spiderman asking me on a date?" he pressed the back of his hand to his forehead and fell back on his bed. "i can die happy!"

"or you could just die," spiderman rolled his eyes under his mask. "do you want breakfast or not?"

"course i do, spideykins," deadpool winked and blew him a kiss.

spiderman turned on his heel, crossing his arms and called, "i'll wait outside, hurry up."

"playing hard to get i see!" deadpool threw his blanket off of himself and followed suit, picking up his boots as he went and hopping trying to put them on.

deadpool caught up to spiderman and slung an arm around him. they left the building and went to the nearest coffeeshop before deadpool spoke up.

"can we get mcdonalds?"

"what? it's 9am!" spiderman stopped in shock.

"yeah well they have a breakfast menu."

"oh my god, are you kidding?" spiderman and deadpool stared at each other before spiderman realised that he was serious. "fine, but you have to pay for yourself now."

"that's cool, i have a grand total of... 25 cents and... oohh! a piece of gum, sweet!" he popped the piece of gum into his mouth and continued.

"never mind, whatever," spiderman rolled his eyes again.

"then," deadpool laughed, a mouth full of a breakfast muffin. "he tried to blow my brains out."

"what? ew," spiderman chuckled.

"yeah! right? anyw- this muffin is so good! holy shit..." deadpool basically moaned over the food and spiderman threw a plastic straw at him.

"gross, dude! there are kids around- go moan about your food somewhere else!"

"is that an invitation?" deadpool wiggled his eyebrows.

spiderman laughed and kicked deadpool under the table, "gross! you wish, dude."

"you know i do."

spiderman shook his head, "yuck. anyway, we should go now."

"go? where?" deadpool rose out of his seat, grabbing his rubbish and chucking it in the bin, following suit was spidey doing the same.

"to parker industries, we have research to do- and since someone is framing you, you have to come with me so i can find out why."

"aww, you wanna hang out with me how sweet! love you too, babe!"

spiderman groaned, "shut up!"

deadpool spun in one of the office chairs, whistling a random tune and getting even more dizzy and sick with each spin. spiderman turned in his own chair and grabbed the top of deadpool's, forcing him to stop. as soon as deadpool stopped spinning he rushed to the trash can and threw up.

"super gross," spiderman turned back to his computer.

"well!" deadpool began to speak but threw up again.

"if you want water, there is a machine over there," he vaguely gestured behind him, not looking away from his work.

deadpool gave an un-seen thumbs up and wiped his mouth with a shaky hand. he sat against the wall beside him, watching as spiderman typed away, seeming angry.

"whatcha doin'?"

spiderman sighed, "i'm trying to find out why someone had a clone of you break into parker industries... wanna know what i found out?" he spun around to face deadpool who nodded.

"sure, spidey."

"well, as it turns out, the deadpool who broke into here isn't the same one we fought before. the suits don't match and besides the one we fought is much more built compared to you- i don't know who they are trying to fool..."

"hey! i am built!" deadpool tried to flex but he still felt weak from throwing up.

spiderman laughed, "yeah, i believe you."

deadpool grinned as spiderman laughed at him, a sense of warmth capturing him, stunning him where he sat.
