There is only one official word to describe how I feel right now. Awkward. One hundred percent awkward, and we havn't even gotten off school grounds. My heart beats quickly as we stop at the intersection connecting the school and the main road. He turns around to face me.

"Where do you live?" He asked. Should I tell him where I live, or should I not trust him. Hell by now I might just go all in. My parents are going to kill me, not that they are ever home to care though.

"13729 North Park Drive." I answered. Regretting it moments after, as he nodded his head and turned left towards my house. I'm not surprised that he knows where North Park Drive is, I wouldn't even be surprised If he has even seen my house before. You can't miss it. Big ocean blue with a creamy white trim. It is very much modeled after what would be perfect for a beach house, except instead of a beach near the house, there's a park. North Park is the most crowded place here. Everyone goes and hangs out there, throws every wild party, dock jumps and who knows what else. North Park is great for people to hang out and be noisy because it is one of the areas where fewer people live, so there are less rules and regulations on voice controll and crap. So, people end up being able to get away with the craziest things. We turn onto the road parallel of the park and I could easily tell that tonight was going to be really busy, with it being the first day of school and crap, where people still aren't over summer, and the weather is still nice. Let's just hope the senior's this year don't egg and t.p. my house again. It took my three weekends to clean. It was awful, and of course my parents weren't home so I had to get help from Paige and Ivy, but what help they were, eating all of my food and sitting on the porch listening to music.

"Is this it?" He asks pointing to the small, beach like house.

"Yep, this is it." I say as he turns into the driveway. I immediately notice the black chevrolet Malibu in the driveway and curse under my breath. He must have heard it because he turned.

"Is everything alright?" He asked, his low voice breaking my thoughts and worries.

"My mom's here." I said quickly scrambling off his bike and straitening out my skirt. I unbuckled the helmet and handed it over to him, quickly running my fingers through my hair. He laughed and gave me a weird look.

"What's so bad about your mom?" He asked, semi interested.

"Nothing- I mean she's just..." just going to kill me as soon as she sees that a senior male wearing leather and riding a motorcycle, brought me home. "She doesn't live with us anymore."

"Oh. Is that why your dad couldn't pick you up?" He asked.

"No. Or at least that's not what he told me." I was starting to doubt everything and everyone. He stayed silent for a moment, and I wasn't really sure how I felt about all of this right now. The very FIRST day of school has to start like this? Really? "Thank you for the ride." I said smiling and walking quickly towards my front porch. I remembered I still don't know his name. I turned around when he started to speak.

"Aurora, right?" he asked.

"Uhm, yeah, but you can call me Rorey." I said. pausing for a moment. I openend my mouth, and paused again. "I'm sorry, what's your name?"

"Derek."  Derek.....Derek... Huh...For some reason I feel like I have heard that name before.
