Alex's POV
We had been planning this for so long, but we always got interrupted. Either Maggie had to run off to save the day or I had to run off to save the day.
Today. Well today is the day that Maggie meets my family.
I can tell she's been trying to put it off. She's nervous and that's okay.
"You ready?" I ask her, she nods and grabs my hand, we walk into the bar hand in hand and I spot my friends. I look at Maggie I can see the worry on her face. I squeeze her hand and we walk to them. Maggie hides behind me as I speak to the guys.
"Hey you guys" I interrupt their conversation, they all look at me.
"Alex! Hey! Where's your mystery man?" Winn winks at me, I look behind me and Maggie emerges from behind me everyone looks at her
"Guys this is Maggie... she's my girlfriend, Maggie this is my family" Maggie waves and grabs my hand
Winn is the first one to speak "oh wow so you're the one that has made stone cold agent Alex Danvers into a gooey mess" Winn nudges me
"I guess so, hey you any good at pool?" Maggie asks Winn
"Umm... Yes?" Winn's voice goes so high we all laugh
"Okay how about we play darts instead?" Winn smiles
"That more like it, let's go" Maggie and Winn walk off and James is soon quick to follow
"I want to see this" he laughs
I take a seat next to Kara and J'onn
"So what do you guys think of Maggie?" I look at the two most important people to me. Kara smiles and looks at Maggie. Maggie is laughing at Winn with James
"She's a keeper Al" Kara smiles and walks over to the rest of the guys. I smile and look at J'onn.
"She thinks a lot of you Alex she's definitely the one" J'onn smiles and pats my shoulder and goes to get another drink
"Wait J'onn did you read her mind? J'onn!?! J'ONN!" I shout he ignores me, I laugh and look at my family, Maggie catches my eye and walks over to me
"Hey gorgeous" I whisper as she grabs my waist, she does say anything instead she turns me around and kisses me. Softly. It feels so perfect. I pull away and she smiles.
"Hi Danvers" we both laugh. Yes definitely a keeper.
