on the second day,

as you ran your fingers through my thin, silky black hair, you hummed a gentle song. it was as gentle as how you caressed my cheeks when our eyes met. when i asked you what song it was, all i had in return were kind touches from your thumbs to my cheeks. your hands were warm, so soft yet so big compared to mine.

your beautiful hazel eyes continued to trace my face as i looked back at yours. i couldn't explain just how breath taking you were. your pale, smooth skin harmonized with your doll-like features.

god, how beautiful you were.

you held my hand tightly, not having any intention of letting go. it was as if you knew something was wrong; yet you chose to close your cherry-like lips with a painful smile.

i didn't question your strange behaviour since all of my trust had already been given to you.
