Chapter 18

~2 Days Later~

Today was the day we were going to Volterra, Italy. I was kinda scared but mostly nervous. I honestly wanted to know what that creep, Aro, wanted this time. I really hope it's not some stupid way to get Alec back and me to join them, because if so, they are wasting their time.

"Alec come on we have to get to the airport, wait any longer and we'll miss our flight," I yelled up the stairs.

"Good, that's what I'm waiting for," he yelled back from his room.

"Alec, get your god damn arse down here right now or else," I threatened.

"No, I don't want to go," he whined appearing on the top step, pouting. My face instantly changed from angry to an apologetic look.

"I don't either, I'd rather be burned alive, but we have to, other wise they'll come here, and I really don't want a war to break out," I sighed and went up to sit next to him on the top step. I set my arm over his shoulders and rubbed his arms. "You'll be fine, now come on." I got up but Alec didn't.

"No," he said and stuck his ground on the top step.

"Alec," I warned. He just shook his head. I groaned and wrapped my arm around his waist and tried to drag him down the stairs but unfortunately he decided to grab the railing, having a firm grip on it. I stopped pulling because I didn't want to break the railing. "Alec, lets go. Now. You're acting like a 5 year old."

"I don't want to go, what if they try to get us to join them," he asked worriedly, standing up and wrapping me into a hug.

"You're the one that said we would go though, Alec," I said, muffled by his chest.

"I only said that to get rid of them," he said into my neck and hair.

"Welp now we have to go so..." I trailed off as I picked him up bridle style and ran out to the car, strapping him in and quickly got in the driver's seat. He sat pouting with his arms crossed, looking absolutely hilarious but cute, causing me to laugh as I drove.

"This isn't funny," he mumbled.

"Yes it is, it wasn't exactly a piece of cake caring you to the car, you are heavy even with my vamp strength," I joked poking his cheek when we stopped at a light.

"Oh haha, very funny," he grumbled. I burst out laughing.

"I try," I said still laughing.

"Hush it and drive," he playfully glared.
