It had been months since you had last saw Ashton and you were awake really early. You knew today was the day they were flying back home after a long few months of recording in the UK and you couldn’t wait to hold him in your arms again. You yawned, climbing out of bed and making your way over to the wardrobe. You grabbed a pair of black skinny jeans and a baggy sweater before walking into the bathroom and showering. You couldn’t get him off your mind. It had been like this every day since you two had been away from each other. After a few hours, you received a text and it was from Ashton.

‘Hey babe, we’ve just left Dubai. We had a layover there and we should be back in Australia in about 5/6 hours. Love you beautiful x’

You felt yourself smiling like a fool at every word he had said to you. You grabbed your laptop, logging into Twitter. You barely went online anymore, but you decided to go on Ashton’s account and follow a bunch of people. Reading through his fans’ messages always made you smile. Occasionally they would mention you and it would make you feel better, but things were different this time. Every single comment was about you and Ashton. ‘What’s going on?’ you thought to yourself as you scrolled through the tweets. It was unusual but you loved it. ‘Oh my god, aren’t Ashton and Brie just the cutest? #brashton’ you giggled at the ship names everyone came up with for you two. You favourited the tweet and followed the girl then scrolled through the rest of the comments, following at least 300 fans before logging out of Twitter and heading downstairs to get some food. You made pancakes then went into the living room to sit down and watch tv. You flicked through the channels until you heard ‘Australia’s newest band, 5 Seconds of Summer to become international sensation following tour with One Direction’, you decided to watch to find out what they were saying. All they had to say was good things which made you happy. Your boys were finally growing up and making a name for themselves and you were unbelievably proud.

After a few hours, you were in the taxi on the way to the airport. You couldn’t wait to see them again, you felt like it had been years since you had seen them last. As you arrived at the airport, you paid the driver then climbed out of the taxi, standing outside of the airport, looking up. You sighed then smiled and headed inside. You waited for what seemed like a lifetime before turning around, you saw a small group of girls whispering to each other and smiling before two of them walked towards you. “Hey. Oh my god, are you Brie, Ashton’s girlfriend?” You loved being known as Ashton’s girlfriend, it gave you butterflies to hear that each time. You nodded and smiled at them. “I am, I’m guessing you girls are fans?” They nodded and smiled before asking you for a photo. “Of course you can sweetheart!” You put your arm around the girls shoulder and posed for a photo. Once everyone had gotten a photo, they thanked you before smiling and walking back to where they were stood. 5 Seconds of Summer had the sweetest fans and there was no point in denying that. A half hour had passed by and your phone started to ring. You look down to see ‘Ashton’ flash across the screen. You smiled before answering. “Hey Ash,” you couldn’t stop smiling. “Hey beautiful, we’ve just landed, we just need to collect our bags then we’ll be right out okay?” You giggled before telling him you were right there for when they came out. You both ended the call and you waited patiently. You could feel yourself getting nervous and the palms of your hands were sweating a little. A few minutes later, you saw him. He was walking out of the terminal with Calum and as soon as he saw you, he froze. He couldn’t believe you were actually there and it's not just a dream anymore. He ran full speed at you and engulfed you in his arms, spinning you around and squeezing your body closer to his every second during the embrace. He nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck and doesn't loosen his grip, afraid if he does you'll be gone. "That was way too long.” You agreed, holding him tightly and never wanting to let go. “Too damn long” He starts rocking your body back and forth and you can feel him smiling. "Next time," He rested his forehead against yours and smiled, "You're coming with me." He finally sets you on your feet and attacks your face with small kisses, causing you to break out into a fit of giggles. "Miss me?" He asks with a smirk and hugs you tight again. After you two were finished having your little moment, you were talking to him and remembered that those girls were waiting to get photos. There weren’t many of them, about 10 people and you pointed over to those girls. “I promised I’d get you all to go and get photos with them. They had been here for 7 hours before I arrived” Ashton’s eyes widened. Why would they wait that long? You smiled as you watched the boys walk over to the girls and them freaking out. Ashton had asked you to go with him, so you had agreed. You let go of his hand and stepped aside while he talked to his fans and got photos. There was nothing you liked to see more than Ashton and his fans. They had some sort of connection and you loved seeing how happy they got when they were walking away. Some of them had told you that they admired yours and Ashton’s relationship. Even though you had been dating for a little while now, you still didn’t understand why.
