Your POV:
I had brought a book with me into the woods. Once I was far enough in, I sat next to a tree an began to read. It was a horror book about a murderer that lives in the woods.
1 HOUR LATER
My heart is pounding. This book really IS scary! It's just about to get scarier when I hear a voice of a boy about my age behind me. "Uh..Hi?"
"Ah!" I jumped when I heard the voice. "Oh sorry" I said turning around. "I just got a little startled" When I turn around, I saw that the boy had chocolate brown eyes and hair. He wore an orange shirt, a blue vest and tan shorts. But his most prominent feature was the blue and white pine tree hat he wore on his head.
"Are you from around here? I don't recognize you" He asked me.
"Well, kind of. I just moved here today." I said as I glanced down at my watch. 2:55, it read.
"I come here for the summer. I normally just live in Piedmont." He said. I could tell he was having a hard time thinking of a conversation. "Um.... I have to go." He said after we both paused for a minute.
I glance at my watch again. This time, it read 3:00. "Same here" I told him. "Nice meeting you..." I said, not knowing the boy's name.
"Dipper!" He yelled from the other side of the woods as he ran off.
I sighed. "Dipper" I whispered to myself as I walked back home. (Y/N)! You can't have a crush on someone you just met in a spooky forest! They could be a killer! SHUT UP VOICE IN MY HEAD! While I was walking, I tripped on a tree stump and fell on my face. Ow! When I looked back, I saw that I had opened something that looked like a trap door, and the tree stump was the only thing covering it. I looked inside and saw a dusty book inside. "What the..." I said to myself as I dusted the cover off. It was a hand with 6 fingers on it, and a giant number 2. I better investigate this back at the house, I thought to myself as I ran at full speed back to my new home In Gravity Falls, Oregon.
