After 7.5 days of school and 20 days of holiday it was Christmas day the day where you get presents from the people you love. When I woke up it was 9 clock so I went down stairs to the kitchen ate breakfast with my mum and then we went to the living room to where the presents were and started to get are presents and opened them one by one. The present that I took out was a present for my mother and that present was from me.
In that present was a little pair of blue diamond heart earrings, she took a look at it while she then looked at me smiled at me and gave a hug. Then it was my mothers turn to get out the present from and she did, the present was for me and it was a gift from my grandparents form my mothers side. As I opened the present I saw a blue crop top with some light pink shorts.
I smiled at the present and left it on the side. Then my mum gave me another present, I looked at the label to see who it is from. The label writing said "To Maya Merry Christmas from dad." I just kept it to the side without opening it I mean why should I open it he left and now he wants to come back with no reason what so ever.
My mum saw me put it to the side.
Katy:"Why ran't you opening the present?"
Maya:"Because it is from dad."
Katy:"Look I Know this is all hard to understand but once you know the reason the he left, you will forgive him because in the end that is what I did."
Maya:"If you know the reason mum why can't you tell me it?"

Katy:"Look I am not asking you to open it now but do you promise me you will open it some time before today ends?"
Maya:"Yes I will."
After that my mum gave me her present which was pair of jeans. I thanked her and then went upstairs to my room with my room with my dads present. I opened the door to my balcony, I sat down and started to cry.
I mean why does my dad regret leaving me now why did he not regret it before where I could have forgiven him because I had the space in my hart then and now that I have all these new people in my life I am not sure if I am ready to open my hart again to him.
As I was crying I felt an arm touch my shoulder I looked up to see Lucas looking at me with the same look he had at me the day I met my dad.

Lucas:"Hey. are you ok?"
Maya:"Yeah I am fine."
Lucas:"Who is that present from?"
Maya:"My dad."
Lucas:"Oh I see your finding it hard to forgive him?"

Lucas:"Don't worry once you have the right information you will be ready to forgive him."

When I opened it I saw it was a dress I thanked him and told him to meet me at the cinema so that I could give him his present.
