Lukas was always some what of an outcast even as a child, he was never very interested in playing games or participating in village events and such, he was happy just staying in his home nestled deep in the woods with his mother and little brother, when he was small but now he was 19 and rarely ever even appeared in the village besides maybe the occasional market trip. Many of the village folk began to talk, and spread roomers of him and his mother being sorcerers and doing devious things in that small cottage of theirs. This would bring us up to about now, Lukas was shuffling down the small dirt path that lead from his cottage to the town market, oh how he dreaded these days when he had to go into town plagued with the harsh stares and comments that would come his way not to mention, it's too freaking early for this crap!As he walked he suddenly noticed a small man just ahead of him and 𝑰𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚 knew it to be Tino, one of the only or more like the only person in that village to actually show kindness to him. Apparently Tino noticed him as well because he suddenly stoped walking and turned to face the platinum blond haired boy. Tino offered a cheerful smile to great Lukas, which he was well aware he would not great him the same having been used to the boys stoic and unemotional personality. Despite not showing it Lukas was happy to see the only person he would even remotely consider a friend. " hey Lukas are you heading to the market, oh how's your mom doing I heard she's been feeling even worse than normal with that horrible ailment of hers" Tino asked " yes, I'm headed into the village to get some herbs to make some medicine for her" he replied in a monotone voice barely making the worry he had for his mother's condition, she had been sick for a while now and it just kept on getting worse and worse he often would fear the thought of her not making it through the upcoming winter. " well tell her i said hi and will be dropping by later to visit and I'll bring some food too" Tino said joyfully hoping to lighten the mode that hung over after his last question. "I will" he said in reply, beginning to continue his walk to the market but just as he was almost out of earshot he heard Tino yell " oh Lukas I forgot to tell you today is the dragon festival so be careful, you know how rowdy those drunks can be and how early of they start on days like these" Tino yelled back to his friend, now headed the opposite direction as him. Lukas gave a nod to Tino and continued his walking.
LUKAS POV-
Just grate, my favorite time of year dragon festival.... not. All those drunks are going to be a real hassle don't even get me started on the crowds, but hey maybe with all the people there I won't be noticed and I can avoid the stares and slander that would topically come my way. I arrived at the market and yep, crowded, great, just swell. As I make my way down the dirt road through the market place, filled to the brim with people buying more food and gifts than usual for the big celebration later today, I noticed more people than usual staring at me even for a place this crowded. I feel like their all watching me, it's creeping me out. Some look at me with malice some with sympathy and that's what's freaking me out so much. I some how manage to get the herbs I was looking for and just as I'm about to pay two big guy come up beside me and grab my arms, I can smell the booze on their breath" what the hell are you doing you drunken bastards" I yell, the one to my left smirks devilishly at me and laughs "taking the dragons sacrifice what else, we can't have a dragon festival without our sacrifice it would defeat the entire purpose of it if we piss of the dragon" the man said in a slightly drunken slur. I look at him in horror, this is the reason why I hate this holiday, the last dragon festival was 12 years ago and my best friend and crush was the sacrifice to please this dragon god these people worship so. I don't understand it how can they just so willingly give up one of there own to some tyrannical god, this god probably doesn't even exists which mean I'm probably just going to die of hunger or hypothermia, tied to some dumb pole or something. They begin to drag me of to my impending doom, villagers line up blocking every possible exit I may have, by now I typically would have summoned a troll or something but I knew if I did, they would immediately go after my family and most likely in prison or kill them. The number of people start to grow less and less as we near the boarder separating the village from the forest. Other than the lesser amount of people I don't pay attention to anything else around I'm to busy thinking of my ill mother and little brother, how will they survive without me, after my mother got sick and could no longer continue her herbalist business, I had to learn how to do the job like her to continue the small income we had for the three of us. If I'm not there what will become of them. I was snapped out of my thoughts by a gruff voice "climb now" he demanded as he pointed to a latter that look old and worn but hey I was probably going to die anyway so might as well, let's list the ways I could die shall we, if this dragon dose come through on it word I'll be eaten or something, if I fight back these guys will kill me, if don't I'll either starve to death if the hypothermia doesn't kill me that is or fall from this latter and break my neck. In all honesty it's kind of a pick your poison situation. I start to climb the rickety latter to the top which let of at a cliff about 50 ft in the air ware they proceeded to tie me down to, yep as I guessed, a pole. " your just going to leave me here for some fictional tyrannical dragon god thing" I shout to them, the one that was previously holding my right arm sent a glare that could kill, my way "you best not make fun of forces beyond your self boy" he shouted back. After that they left, I stayed on that pole for hours, it was around 9 when I went to the village it had to be around 5 maybe 6 now, the sun was setting and the cold began to take over the night like the warmth of the sun dose in the morning. I had trying breaking the bonds that held me to the pole but to no avail and with out my hands I can't cast any summoning spells. I had given up hope about an hour or so ago. Just out of the corner of my eyes I began to see movement, something flying, oh great the vultures have come to finish me off. But then I heard a gasp one that sounded... human?! Before I knew it I was snatched away by....... oh my Odin it's an actual dragon!!!?? Well I guess I'm going to die... not without a fight I'm not. I began to think of a way I might be able to escape this beast. Next thing I know I'm in a cave I guess I was to deep in thought to notice because, the only reason I did was because the dragon began to speak! "you .... you're the human meant to be the sacrifice this time" he said, as he gave me a look of curiosity and astonishment for some reason. " what is your name ?" he asked almost as if he was hoping for something but it was slightly drowned out by his terrifying form and loud booming voice. The echoing from the cave made it all the more terrifying but i refuses to let him know that."you want to know my name how about you tell me Your's first" the dragon looked baffled "how do you not know the name of the god you were sacrificed to"the dragon asked, his voice laced with wonder, his eyes widen slightly and a look of almost disbelief across his face, he looked less scary and more like a confused and curious puppy with his new expression."it's Mathias, now will you please tell me yours" he almost begged sounding less and less like the scary dragon I heard a second ago,
Well I might as well tell him right."my name is Lukas Bondavik" the dragons eyes widen and his expression changes even more like that of a puppy... damn it he's cute... what.🐉🐉🐲🐲************🐲🐲🐉🐉
