Not much changes in life to be honest. The way we see things doesn't drastically change nor does our personality. We keep those old habits. I kept arguing with myself which raindrop was going to beat all the rest. Which one would complete the race first of sliding fastest down the window. I spotted one drop that appeard much larger than all the rest. I slowly watched it slide down in slow motion, anxiously waiting for it to reach the end of its race until I was distracted.

"Jessica?" A soft feminine voice just over a whisper called for me. I sharply looked in the direction of where the voice was coming from and there stood the nurse. Her body language showed less tension than before, which released my tension.

"She's ready for you." The nurse kindly said.

I jumped out of my seat and followed her out of the waiting room. I was now aloud to see my Grandmother. She was the one who raised me and cherished me from birth. She'd recently been diagnosed with Cancer and not much luck has been cast upon us lately. The walk to my Grands room felt like miles away. From white walls to blue doors everywhere you looked, stressed nurses and distressed families. The more I witnessed this, the more frightened I got of losing her. My Grandmother.

608 was the room number. We'd finally reached my Grands room. The nurse softly knocked on the door and opened it. She walked straight in and around a blue curtain that was drawn, covering the apperance of my Grandmother. I felt unsure so I kept my feet at the door.

"Jessica is here for you", the nurse told my Grandmother tilting her head downwards behind the curtain, "I'll leave you two to it". She said this time directly looking and smiling at me. I half smiled back and waited for her to leave. I closed the door and let out a  big breath i didn't even know i was holding. Slowly I then walked further into the room and started to pull back the blue curtain to see my Grandmother. They were telling me she was feeling much better. The nurses said. My Grandmother was now in full sight and everything in me sunk. She looked so pale, so fragile. Her young looking face looked older than ever. Her eyes were closed and her hands lightly rest on her chest.

"Jessica dear, I've missed you." She says in a forcful whisper.

"I've missed you too", I manage to say without sounding so hurt by what I see, "How are you?".

"Yes much better but very tired."

"I should leave you then...'

"Oh no please don't," she interrupted me, "I want you to stay."

I walked over closer to her and sat in the armchair next to her bed. I held her hand while she slowly fell asleep.

Later on that evening I decided to go get something to eat at the hospital cafeteria. That's of course if I knew how to get there. As soon as I left my Grands room I was lost.

I was walking just about everywhere. Up and down different corridors, from left to right, passing that drink fountain about the tenth time now and still cluless. I heard a few nurses bickering on about something not too far behind me. I quickly turned around to catch them and ask for directions but they disappeard too quickly. I tured back around again to continue going straight until I walked directly into a human figure. My face was buried into this persons chest I had to escape fast. I jumped back as he did too and it hit me. His large dark blue ocean eyes and dark chocolate hair. His facial features stood out well, along with his olive skin. It took me a minute to realise he was wearing the patients gown. But nothing appeard wrong with him.

"Oh erm I'm sorry", he awkwardly laughed while rubbing his hand against the back of his neck, "Didn't see you there."

"Uh yeh I'm sorry too," I awkwardly laughed as well... shit this guy was hot.. ok I seriously can't stuff up this. "Sorry... do you know... is the cafateria where?" Fuck

"Sorry what?" He said slightly squinting his eyes.

"Sorry er.. um.. never mind..." I stumbled. I felt like shit. I tried to just walk straight pass him and yet still with no where to go.

"Wait!" He called after me. Oh great.
