As I was about to escape my embarrassment that occurred with an insanely hot guy, I had no choice but to turn around and see what he had to offer.
He took a few steps towards me and extended out his hand.
"You dropped this." He said while smiling.
"Oh..." I quickly placed my hand onto the bum pocket of my jeans and realised my phone wasn't there. "...thanks." I managed to say as I grabbed my phone.
"By the way, I'm Alex." He said while crossing his arms and glaring down at me.
"I'm Jessica....You can call me Jess!" I replied while awkwardly smiling up at him. "I better go".
"Alright, see you round." He said will sending a wink.
I quickly turned around to hide my rosey cheeks and was about to bolt. But I still had no idea where I was going.
"Hey Alex...um I was wondering if you could please tell me where about's the cafeteria is?"
He stopped and then turned around to look at me. He just smiled and walked straight past me.
I had no idea what he was implying so I just stayed put.
When he was about 7 steps away from me he calls from ahead "You're supposed to follow me now." He laughed.
I quickly jogged up to him like an idiot and walked next to him.
"Hey, you didn't have to...."
"No no, I want to!" He said while smiling at me again.
Our walk felt like forever as we stayed in silence, when really only two left turns, the cafeteria had arrived.
"Thanks heaps!" I said. I found it more awkward to communicate with him as he innocently stood there with the hospital gown on. I felt hurt to see him like this, yet I didn't even know the guy.
"No worries at all, Jess." He said rather smoothly, spun round and strolled off.
I could feel my insides slowly being eaten away. I was so hungry....(for him)...FOR FOOD! I spotted a perfectly shaped, choc-chip muffin and raced to get it before anyone else could. For a split second I felt like I was in the hunger games.
I found a table in the corner of the cafeteria, placed right next to a large window. I sat there and admired the world go by. People rushing, speeding, complaining, stressed, running and annoyed was all I could see and pick up on, as I sat there dead still, still feeling the same way as they do.
