Chapter seven: "I'm Rika, Ariya's best friend"

ARIYA'S P.O.V.:

Then the doorbell rang.

Wait what?

I stared at Emily, who was just as baffled as I was. Before I could say anything, the doorbell rang again, more persistent this time.

"I'll get it." Jungkook said, getting up.

"No! I'll get it." I quickly said, getting up and rushing to the door. I smoothed my hair as I opened the door. When I opened it, Rika was standing there, with Soo mi and Jin Ho.

"Hey Ariya!" Soo mi said smiling at me.

"Uh..."

"Hey Ari, I hope you don't mind, but I brought some of my friends as you can see," Rika said, gesturing to everyone, now including Alyssa and Tae min, who had climbed out of their car and was walking towards the door, waving.

"And who are you?" Jungkook asked, appearing next to me, slipping his arm around my waist.

The movement didn't go unnoticed by Rika. She narrowed her eyes before answering,

"I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Rika, Ariya's best friend. We met at the zoo." She added batting her eyelashes at Jungkook.

"Umm.. I don't remember you..." Jungkook said, frowning.

"It's ok! I'm sure we'll get to know each other soon." She giggled, walking inside.

She entered the main room, where everyone was sitting, waiting for us.

"Hello!" Rika said, smiling at everyone. "My name's Rika. Hey Eliza." She added to Emily, who narrowed her eyes.

"It's Emily," she said through gritted teeth.

"Same difference!" Rika said, laughing.

"Rika what are you doing here?" I asked, tired of all the acting.

"What do you mean?" She asked, snuggling next to Hoseok and Jimin.

"How did you know I was here?" I said, exasperated.

She laughed before answering.

"Oh c'mon! Who doesn't know that Ariya went somewhere with the famous Jungkook?"

Jimin squirmed uncomfortably but Rika just clasped her arm on his. Alyssa, Soo mi, Jin Ho, and Tae min also made themselves comfortable on the sofas. I felt so uncomfortable, surrounded by the people who beat me up only a day ago.

It was awkward.

"Rika... I hate to break it to you, but you're nowhere near Ariya's best friend." Emily blurted to Rika.

Rika's eyes narrowed.

"What do you mean, Emily?"

I already knew what was coming, but I was too late to stop it.

"Emily please!"

"I mean, you literally beat her up yesterday-"

"WHAT?" The boys yelled simultaneously.

"I have no idea what she's talking about," I said, laughing nervously.

"Ariya, what's Emily talking about?" Jungkook asked, frowning at me.

"Aish! It's nothing!" Rika butted in laughing while waving her arms.

I nervously glanced at my watch. "Well will you look at the time? Emily and I have to go."
