With every glance you take he steals your heart, with you his willing victim.
In the split second that you see him the world around you two disappears. The people fading away to gray nothingness.
And in this moment you try not to blink, for you know that when you do . . . the world will return. The people once again colourful blurs as they pass you speaking to each other even though all you can hear is white noise.
But just before you look away he catches your eye and time freezes as you get lost in his smile and think of what could be . . . . . . .
But then you blink and the universe returns, your reality sinking back in. So you carry on with your life and relish in your little glances.
