1/ Abomination

The cold air clawed its way through the trees. Being late July, It was not welcome...yet everything stood still, silent and aware...reluctantly accepting the unnatural aura.

A tall slender figure slid elegantly between the trees and another, slightly bent, followed closely behind.

"You cannot expect her to grow up in that filth, she deserves better," the woman in front exclaimed, as she stopped in perfectly clear patch of the forest.

"She will have to," replied a tall man emerging from among the branches. Standing straight he was taller than the breathtakingly beautiful woman but also handsome, in his own dark way.

"No she doesn't" the woman replied clenching her fists, her eyelashes heavy with suspended tears that refused to drop, "something can be done," the sound of her voice sent a shiver down the mans' spine. He was not easily scared, however he knew the excruciating outcomes of something as delicate as this. He knew, everyone knew.

"Nothing can be done," the man replied touching the side of his jaw, his dark eyes narrowed, only focused on the woman, "Her life is at risk, she cannot be known among us, ever," the man replied circling the slender woman, who was breathing heavily. Her brown hair reflected the light from the moon, she stared at the floor as if a solution would write it self upon the burnt grass, "you take her with you now, you'll build a life, she'll grow up to be a happy and no doubt a beautiful girl but then she will simply be taken from you,"

"Why!" the woman cried falling to her knees, her arm tight across her stomach as though she was in physical pain, "Why Ayeman," she sobbed silently.

Ayeman looked up at the moon and then back down at woman hunched in front of him.

For a second, just a second... his face softened... but as quick as it had come... it disappeared. He raised an eyebrow and scrunched his forehead, brushing back his black hair and composing himself, he simply replied...

"Because Saskia, she is an abomination,"
