The sound of birds chirping on a Saturday morning was a peaceful sound to most people, but it annoyed me since it woke me up before my alarm did. As I let out a small groan of frustration, I reached over to my nightstand and grabbed my phone to turn off the alarm I had  before it went off on its own. I let out a soft sigh as I saw it was only seven in the morning and I would have to be out of the house by eight. I had to wake up early because I had a job interview today with the manager of a store I enjoyed, Spencer's. It's a pretty cool store with no filter on it at all. I loved it because it seemed like a dark or immoral store, but it was really for anyone who just had a dirty mind and have no filter. That's my boyfriend Alec and I, we're always making dirty jokes and literally have no filter. When we're like that, my best friend Eliza just leaves us alone, she can't handle out dirty minds because it's deep in the gutter. Just thinking about all the dirty jokes we've had together causes a small smirk to form on my face.

I dragged my body off the bed and immediately my dog jumps up at me, well he's more of a puppy still. He's a Siberian Husky with beautiful clear blue eyes and black with white fur. He's only seven months old and his name is Caesar. We had his mother but she died a month after he was born, she was hit by a car. The images of her limp body laying in the middle of the street causes my eyes to tear up and I sigh as I quickly rub my eyes before I start to scratch behind Caesar's right ear. We gave away her brothers and sisters to people we knew would take good care of them just because we couldn't handle taking care of eight puppies. "Leigh-Anne! Are you up?" Caesar's ears perks up as we both hear my father's voice from downstairs. "Yeah!" I yell out to him as I stand up while holding Caesar in my arms. "Well hurry up and get ready so we can get breakfast on the way to the mall." He says before I hear his heavy footsteps go into what sounds like his study. He's an author, he writes mystery or thriller books on the side, and he's pretty good at it.. I mean, I don't really like it, but other people do, so that's good enough. I put Caesar down before I go into my bathroom and brush my teeth. Before going back into my room,  I put my hair up in a high ponytail then put on a little bit of eyeliner. Once I'm back into my room, I grab the outfit I already laid out the night before from my desk and slip it on. It's just a black women's tank top with Panic! At the Disco's logo on it along with maroon fleece leggings, a black kimono that goes past my butt and black ankle boots with white trim.

Before leaving my room, I slip on a necklace with a small butterfly charm on it. I've had that necklace since I was a child when my mother gave it to me, but she's no longer with us. My mother died when I was ten so there was very little I remembered about her, but I knew I loved her with all of my heart and I still do. I steal one glance at myself in the mirror before I leave my room with my phone in my hand and meet Dad downstairs. He glances up at me then smirks as he shakes his head. "You look like you work at that store." he says as he stands up and grabs the keys to his car. "That's the point." I smile as I follow him to his car. He drives a black 2017 Equinox, it's a compact SUV. It's a pretty nice car, but it's not really my style, I'm more into Wranglers, Hummers, and trucks... I swear I have a girly side too.

Eliza and Alec met me at the food court of the mall after the job interview at Spencer's. We got some Chinese food before we went to go sit at a booth, Alec sitting next to me while Eliza sat across from us. A lot of people would think Alec and I were just best friends because that's how we act around each other, but behind closed doors we have wild, animal... "So, how did the interview go?" Eliza asked before biting a piece off her egg roll. "Ummm, it was alright." I said in a nonchalantly manner. She raised an eyebrow as she put her egg roll down. "If it was just alright then that's not a good thing." She says with a small frown on her face. "I mean, I got the job so.." I say with a small smirk on my face and Eliza's face immediately brightens up while Alec hugs me and kisses my cheek. "We must celebrate tonight! We must party!" Eliza excitedly says and I chuckle a bit. "We were planning on going to a party anyways." I say as I playfully scowl at her. "I know but now we have a reason to."

Behind Eliza, I notice someone who looked familiar to me, but I knew it wasn't who I thought it was.. But it did look like him. His back was facing my direction, but I could see that he had black hair that was slicked back and tan skin. He was wearing a black leather jacket with dark blue jeans and a pair of Timberland boots that were untied. This guy had tattoos though; he had them on the back of his neck and it looked like it went to the front. I could also see a hint of a tattoo on both his wrists, maybe his arms are covered in tattoos. The guy walked away and I couldn't see him anymore. I let out a soft sigh and looked at Eliza who was giving me a weird look. "Everything okay, Leigh?" she asked and I smiled as I nodded my head. "Just thought I saw someone I knew." I say softly before I continued to eat.

Back at home, Alec and I were alone while my Dad got called into work. Dad is an architect and he's in the middle of designing a building for some millionaire business man that Dad told me about, but I wasn't really paying attention to him. At the moment, I was laying in bed with Alec on top of me, staring at my face. This is how it always starts, he says he's staring at my beauty then starts to kiss me and the kiss begins to get heated and we have sex.. But I wasn't even thinking about sex, which is odd because I'm always thinking about sex, but my mind kept wandering back to that guy I saw at the mall. Alec leaned in and place a soft kiss on my neck then nibbled on it. Usually I would have my hands moving all over his body, but I didn't and he immediately noticed that my mind was elsewhere because he quickly looked into my eyes.

"Everything okay?" He asked softly and I looked into his beautiful brown eyes while I ran my fingers through his smooth hair. "Yeah, just a lot of thoughts randomly popping up in my head." I whisper softly and he frowned, not a disappointed 'not getting laid' frown, but a worried frown. "Is it your depression?" he asked softly as he started to play with my hair. It was true that I was diagnosed with depression, I have the scars on my wrist to show that I was once in a really bad place, they're fading away but they're still there. I even attempted suicide a couple of times, but now my depression isn't as bad as it used to be. "No, umm.. I just thought I saw someone at the mall that I knew and it's bothering me that I don't know if it is that person or not." I say as I looked away but I could see him nodding his head from the corner of my eyes. "Was it that guy with the leather jacket?" he asked and my eyebrows furrowed as I looked at him. "How did you know?" I asked as I sat up and he sat beside me. "I noticed the look on your face and I followed the direction you were looking at." he sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair.

"Am I the only one who feels this?" he suddenly asked and I sighed. "What? The spark not being there anymore?" I asked as I looked up at him and he frowned as he nodded his head. "I feel it too.." I whispered as I look down at my lap. "Do you think we can still be friends? I still do care about you." he said and I smiled as I nodded my head. "Of course, I would hate to stop talking to you." I say as I hug him and he immediately hugs me back. "Good, cause I really want to take a nap and cuddle with you." he says softly and I chuckle as he lays back with me on top of him, immediately falling asleep in each other's arms.
