"How come you didn't tell me you and Aaron have a thing going on?" Silver peeks at me through the rear view mirror.
"Because there is no thing going on." I mumble, looking out the window at the many tress passing by.
"Really? So why were you two attempting to swallow each other in the pool?" Silver stated matter-of-factly.
"So he can say he doesn't like me, and I can say... I don't like him."
"You hesitated." Silver pulls up on the driveway of their home.
"Mom's home." Cole mumbles.
"What?" I unbuckle myself and lean forward.
"Mom is home."
"Before you said 'I don't like him' you hesitated'!" Silver turns in her seat.
"Mom is in the home."
"That was just a coincidence!" I throw out my arms.
"Our mother is in the house."
"Do you like him?" A smile forms on Silver's face.
"Mom. In. House."
"I--"
"Mom is home you retarded rams!"
"Rams?" Silver turns to Cole.
"Why rams?" I add on.
"Mom's in the--"
"Mom's home! Look, her car!" Silver squeals, cutting off Cole. She looks around frantically.
"I just said that--"
"What do I do?" I ask the twins. Cole sighs and continues to look out the window.
Silver grips Cole's shoulders and shakes him, "What do we do with her?"
"Why is she here so early?" Cole ponders.
"I don't know, but this is bad."
"No shit Sherlock..." Cole shakes Silver's hands off him.
"I've noticed that I never see her. When does she leave for work and when does she come back?" I ask, joining the conversation.
"She's a nurse." Silver opens the driver's door.
"Where are you going?" Cole asks, unbuckling himself.
"I'm going inside to see what's up with mom. You stay with Alexia." Silver slams the door and marches to the front door.
Silence passes. Cole hasn't said a word to me ever since the 'incident'. The whole 'mom's home' thing was the first time he said something to Silver. He's acting like he's mad at me, but there's nothing I did wrong to him. Just a few hours ago he was comforting me and now he's ignoring me. Maybe he regrets this morning...
"Cole?" I call to him. He doesn't respond, just shifts in his seat.
"Are you mad at me?" When I get no response I climb into the front seat. I turn to him fully and poke his shoulder.
"C'mon answer me," I ruffle his hair, "I'm sorry for whatever I did wrong. I personally don't think I did anything wrong." He fiddles with his fingers that are resting in his lap. I poke his chest.
"I said don't let him take advantage of you--" Cole bitterly responds.
"Wha--"
"You let him touch you and even kiss you!" Cole leaned into me.
"Co--"
"You were half naked!" Cole's normally icy blue eyes were now a darker shade.
"It was a bathing suit! Calm down!"
