Sitting in a council meeting was weird for Carlos, Mal, and Jay, but Evie actually seemed super excited about it. Especially since she gets to help decide who the next four to come to Auradon would be. She seemed to go on and on about how it's actually a tough decision on who gets to come, with the exception of Dizzy, because she knew without a doubt that she wanted Dizzy to come as soon as possible. Choosing the other three would be harder for her, so she decided to have Mal, Carlos, and Jay come into the meeting so everyone could discuss it.
Carlos had just about fallen asleep during Evie's seemingly never-ending side of the conversation. She kept naming off so many different people and then saying "never mind, it might be better if we wait about them," and Carlos honestly didn't give a crap about the whole thing, so he was bored, and tired, and it was inevitable that he would end up falling asleep at some point.
"You know what," Evie said after a while, tapping her favorite ink pen against the huge wooden table they were all sitting at. "I think Harry Hook would actually be a great choice. I mean, sure, he seems pretty bad now, but, he has really good potential to change. I'm sure once we get him here, he'd be a great person to have around."
As soon as the name "Harry Hook" left Evie's lips, Carlos' head shot up real quick from the desk, his brown eyes widening just a tad. "No," was all Carlos managed to say. He suddenly seemed very tense, and there was just a small hint of panic in his voice.
"No?" Ben scooted his chair up closer to the table, since Carlos was directly across from him. "Why?"
"Why what?" Carlos tried to play it off as if he hadn't even said anything, not wanting them to know why he did not want Harry around.
"Why did you say no?" Ben propped his elbow on the table, only to rest his chin on his palm. "You said it so quickly, too. Is something wrong?"
"No, nothing's wrong." Carlos sat up a little in his seat. "I just think that Harry shouldn't be one of the first people we bring here after us, you know? I mean, wouldn't that make Uma furious? She would definitely come after us and something bad is bound to happen."
Carlos was actually proud of himself for coming up with such a good excuse so quickly.
"Carlos," Mal said, placing her hand on the boy's shoulder. "Can we talk?"
Carlos nodded his head a bit and waited for her to say something, but all she said was "in private," then stood up.
Carlos hesitantly stood up and followed Mal out of the conference room.
"What's going on?" Carlos questioned and Mal sighed a bit.
"You tell me." Mal said, her hands on her hips.
"What do you mean?"
"Why are you so against Harry coming here?" Mal asked.
Carlos sighed a bit and glanced at the conference room to make sure that the door was closed and no one came out of the room to eavesdrop. "I just feel like it would be awkward." He admitted.
"How would it be awkward?" Mal asked. She was obviously getting very confused and very frustrated at this point.
"Um, well.. Harry.." Carlos trailed off, trying to find his words. "Harry was my.. first?" He said awkwardly, not sure if that was the right way to say it. It obviously wasn't because Mal just stared at him with a blank expression for a hot minute.
"Your first what?" Mal asked.
"First.. time?" Carlos was honestly unsure of how to explain it at this point.
"Time doing..?" Mal gasped a bit. "Carlos, did you and Harry...?"
She didn't even have to say the words. Carlos already knew what she was asking, and he just nodded his head in response.
