I woke up to knocking on the door downstairs. I grab my phone and looked at the time 6:59. Whoever they are they need to go home. I close my eyes and wait for the knocking to stop.
The knocking stops then my phone goes off. I grabbed it to see a text from jahi.
Brotha💙💯: ayee it's me come open the door
I immediately hoped out of bed and ran downstairs. I opened the door and saw jahi standing with his back pack slung over his shoulder.
I grabbed him and looked him over for bruises or cuts.
"Ayee calm down I'm alright" he said pushing me off of him and laughing.
"You sure you need ice or something" I said closing the door behinde us.
He went and sat down on the couch turning on the tv.
"Nah I'm fine" he said putting on wild'n out. I went and sat down next to him.
"Well then what happend??"
"Well they were arguing and I got scared and took off" he said looking at me. I felt myself getting angry but i tried to stay calm.
"You sure you alright" I said my voice had an edge to it.
"Im sure Asia you don't have to kick nobody ass today" he said causing both of us to laugh.
"Good" I said nodding.
Remember when I told Myles about me being sent away from my aunt well I didn't completely tell him the whole truth.
My aunt had the decency to send me to live with jahi and his family. But his parents were abusive and we were both in a bad situation. We would protect each other when we could. He was always there when his dad would hit me or threaten me or touch me inappropriately. He would always stop him. Him and his dad would get into fist fights while his mother yelled at me. That's why I'll never switch sides on jahi he is the closest thing I have to a real family it's him over everything and everyone.
I eventually found my way around the situation. The check my aunt would send to them to take care of me I took it every time it came and saved up just enough to buy a house when I was 16 ever since I sneak to there house in the morning every month to get the check. They just think that I'm gone missing or they are to drunk to even remember I was there.
I asked Jahi a couple times why he didn't come stay with me. But he said that if he left they would look for him and he didn't want me in danger.
"Huh?!?!" I said jumping a little.
"I said I heard what happend between you and myles" he said.
"Oh yea wait wich part" I asked.
"You guys were getting along at Dave and busters pretty well I'm glad your on good terms" he said.
I pulled up the messages and hand my phone to him. He raised his eyebrow and looked at the screen confused.
"Someone sent them to me last night when I got home" I sighed.
"Nah that's gotta be an old picture isn't that his ex??" Jahi said.
"Ex?"
"Yea her name is Kayla I think" he said handing me back my phone.
"Nah look at the date" I said zooming in and showing him the screen. He furrowed his eyebrows.
"I dont know what to say" he said.
"Hell neither did i" I sighed turning off my phine.
"I sent the texts to Myles and then blocked him I'm so done with the whole relationship thing honestly" I sighed leaning back on the couch.
"Y'all will work it out not saying what he did was cool but i don't think he meant anything by it he loves you Asia" jahi said looking at the screen.
"I don't think so" I said closing my eyss.
"He does" I heard jahi say.

"Wake up!!" I heard jahi yell.
"What nigga I was having a good dream" I said annoyed sitting up on the couch.
"Shut up and let's go" he said walking to the door.
"Go where??"
"To school" he said in a duh tone.
"Not I'm my PJ's I'm not" I said walking upstairs.
"I'm gonna walk I'll meet you at school" I yelled behinde me.
"Ight sis I'll catch you later" he said and i heard the door slam.
I went upstairs to get dressed.
I grabbed my back pack and walked outside. I put my headphones in and carry on by xxxtentacion was on I like the song but it puts me in my feelings so I changed it to roll in peace by xxxtentacion and Kodak black.
I started walking down the sidewalk letting my mind wander.

"Hide" jahi said as he pulled me behinde the couch.
"Are they here" I asked in a whisperd voice.
"Stay quite and stay right here no matter what alright" he said.
"But I don't want you to get hurt" I said.
"Shhh" he put his hand over my mouth as we heard the door open and loud yelling voices entered the room.
"Shut the fuck up and get a job" I heard his mother say.
"Where the hell is that boy" I heard his father yell. I gripped jahi's shoulder feeling my anger rise.
"Chill out" he whisperd.
"Where the hell are those kids" i heard her yell from the kitchen.
All of a sudden the couch was pushed hardly hitting me in my mouth causing it to bleed.
I cried out in pain as jahi yanked me up and tried to make a run for it.
"Where y'all going??" His father said stepping infront of me.
He grabbed me by my hair and pulled me to the floor. Jahi punched his father in the eye hard enough to leave a bruise and I hit the floor.
Jahi and his father were fighting and his Jahi wasn't winning but he was 15 and his dad was like 30 something tried to get up and help but someone pulled my hair.
"You think your prettier than me don't you" his mother said pulling my hair. I cried and tried to push her away from me.
"You bitch let go of me" I said blood spilling from my mouth.
She hit me upside the head twice causing my head to throb I looked to my right to see jahi out cold on the ground he was bruised badly. Seeing him only mad me cry harder.
"Stop crying" she yelled at me. I only cried harder.
Then his farher walked over to me and kicked me in the chest and the world went dark. I couldnt help but worry about jahi. He's only family I got and if he dies I'm killing them both in the worst way possible.
