Part Seven. Chapter 4: Busted

The tea meeting had been pleasant until now, to Kyo's surprise, the whole environment around the Usami family seemed be completely different. Back when he had been forced to forget about Misaki, they all have been so menacing, Kyo had felt completely defenseless. Today, however, they were all calm and despite the fact that they were trying hard for him not to notice that Kauroko- san and Mizuki were together, the constant gaze and smile exchange they did, revealed it all. Karuoko- san had seated next to Kyo to show him some of the pictures she had taken while he was in Paris. Kyo could definitely tell she had put great effort into making good pictures of him and he was really thankful for capturing those great memories.

Still, the biggest surprise was how friendly Usami- sensei was behaving, he had never been like this before around Kyo and he started to wonder if the novelist had somehow found out that he was not longer interested in Misaki because he had fallen madly in love with his chief assistant. The thought was a little frightening and while it was also really heartwarming, he could not help but to think of Yanase and feel like what he was doing right now was absolutely wrong. "I should've told him" his mind scolded as he turned to look at the clock, there were only twenty minutes left of the hour he had promised to stay. "I will have to leave soon" he warned with a smile thinking that it was better not to leave so abruptly. "So soon? We haven't even started to talk about Paris yet" Karuoko- san said with an annoyed expression. "I apologize, but I have a deadline to meet and lots of work left to do" Kyo said using the first excuse he thought of. "Cmon, you'll sure stretch the deadline again" Kauroko- san replied as a tiny smile started to form in her lips "Or is it that someone is waiting for you?" she continued using a bit of a teasing tone. Kyo felt a little rush of excitement filling him as he heard the last sentence.

There was no damage in them knowing that he was dating someone, and they all looked really curious. Kyo took a deep breath feeling his heart throbbing just by picturing Yuu in his mind. Whenever he felt this way, he couldn't help but to smile and wonder just how he could love someone that badly. He was about to give an answer when he noticed a figure outside the restaurant's glass wall, intensely looking at him. Kyo felt the heartwarming feeling that had just invaded him slowly fading away as he realized that it was Yanase the one looking at him. Kyo froze feeling his lower lip falling at the surprise, but when he saw Yuu running away, he came back to his senses. "Please, excuse me. There's an emergency I have to attend" he spoke and quickly stood up. He heard someone of them calling his name in concern, but everything he wanted to do was to catch up with Yuu.

He headed out of the tea house as fast as possible searching for his partner, he managed to catch a glance of him already exiting the shopping mall. He walked forward thinking that he should've cancelled when he still had the chance cause now it was too late and this had no chance of ending well.

Yuu had been looking around the mall when he thought he saw a familiar face. He felt his eyes getting wide open when he finally recognized the familiar face he had seen. None other than his boyfriend, Ijuuin Kyo inside a tea house, in company of Usami- sensei, a guy he could not recognize and the two he really couldn't stand: Takahashi- kun and Karuoko- san. He stayed still looking through the window feeling like he could not move a single muscle. Kyo had told him earlier that he would be working late at the editorial, so he could not believe what he was seeing.

It was when he felt Kyo's eyes crossing with his, that a sudden adrenaline rush invaded his whole body and he decided to leave. He turned around looking for the nearest exit and headed that way. He hadn't meant to run but at this point, his legs would just not stop. He tightly grabbed the little box he had just bought as an anniversary gift for Ijuuin- sensei and carelessly pushed it inside his bag. The street lights became clearer and clearer as he felt his heart sinking, he didn't even understand why he felt so upset. He turned around and saw Ijuuin looking for him so he kept walking forward feeling extremely anxious and really disturbed. He had always described himself as a strong person, but he knew that there was a limit to how strong he could be. If Ijuuin- sensei managed to find him, he knew he would either explode in anger or burst in tears. No matter which one, the outcome would certainly be awful. 

He needed to escape the place right away but his mind could barely think of places to go, his house was far away and the nearest train station was nowhere to be seen. Being at the close to one of Tokyo's most luxurious areas, he thought of heading to Yoshino's but for sure the guy was working with his assistants on the manuscript and if he went there, he would do nothing but interrupt their work. He sighed in frustration when he suddenly remembered there was another place nearby he could head to. Yuu reluctantly but quickly took his cellphone out of his pocket and dialed a phone number. ["Hello?"] a calm voice answered "Fujino- sensei? This is Yanase, is it okay if I go to your house now?"
