Stupid in Love?

What's with all this noise , I thought as I was awoken to the sound of music only to realize that it was only my phone ringing

*all my single ladies, all my single ladies*

" hello " , I answered sleepily.

" Katy where are you ! "  James exclaimed.

I glanced at the time.

1; 17 pm

" oh my gosh , I'm late! I'm so sorry! I overslept! I be there as soon as I can. " I replied quickly.

" ok hurry.. " James replied then hung up.

I groaned as I grabbed my towel and hurried off to the bathroom to take a quick bath.

I absolutely hate rushing on mornings.

I thought as I hurried out the bathroom. I was so relieved that I had chosen my outfit for today the night before.

I had decided to wear a short floral pink skirt and a pink tank top that matched the pink in my floral skirt and a pair of pink cute flats. I let out my hair and watched as my curly blonde hair fall on my shoulders. Then I applied a light makeup.

I then hurried downstairs to get some quick to eat. After searching the fridge I decided that a apple would have to do if I didn't want to be any later than I already was.

I was about to head out the door when I realized I had forgotten my car keys and phone in my room.

I ran upstairs quickly and grabbed my keys & phone and rushed downstairs. I locked up the house and I got in my car and drove off.

I was so grateful that James lived exactly 8 houses away from mines.

I glanced at the clock in my car as I pulled up in James driveway.

1: 57pm.

Thank god I was here.

I thought as I parked & then I rushed inside. As I hurried in I bumped right into James.

" Ow! " I exclaimed.

" Katy ! finally your here! " James replied while holding me so I wouldn't fall.

" wow ! you look beautiful Katy.. ", James relied as he scanned my outfit.

" thanks James" , I smiled.

" so where's the birthday boy? ", I asked.

" oh he's in the back with some of his friends "

We began to make our way to the backyard when it hit me.

I forgot this birthday present at home.

" omg ! " I exclaimed startling James.

" what's wrong? "  James asked concerned.

" I forgot max's present at home! I left it on my dresser with all the hurrying. " , I groaned.

"Its ok, I'm sure he won't mind  I'll stop by tomorrow for it okay? " , he replied.

" Ok thanks James "  I smiled. 

We made our way outside and i spotted the birthday boy, Max and gave him a huge bear hug and sang happy birthday to him, and I also explained to him about the whole waking up late and forgetting his present at home thing. He just smile sweetly and said that it was ok & and it was the thought that matter anyway.

I then made my way inside and meet back up with James, he was in the kitchen with his mom helping her finish prepare the food. I greeted his mom with a sweet smile.

" Hi Mrs Carter. "

" Oh hi hunnie, how are you? " she replied.

" Oh I'm great. do you need some help? " 

" Thank you hunnie but I'm almost done. Just have to pop this pie in the oven and that's it, why don't you and James do find something else to do? Btw you look lovely Katy! Pink looks good on you."

"  Okay and thanks Mrs Carter" , I reponsed and smiled brightly, as James and I left the room. We decided that we would leave Max to chill with his friends and we would just watch a movie. We choose to watch, Madea's Family Reunion.

We sat down down on the sofa and got comfortable ant then we started the movie. Our eyes was glued to the television. Before we knew it the movie was already and we were laughing our butts off. Madea is so funny and we could help but laugh. Just then as we were not trying to decide what movie to watch again James' mom called out. 

" James! Food's Ready! Come help me set the table for yur brothers friends please. "

"Ok Mom! , Ok Katy pick out a movie, I'll be back in a minute."  James replied and then got up and headed to the dining room.

In a short moment he was back.

" Katy, you hungry? want some food? " He asked.

"Sure! " I replied.

" Great ! " he said and went back in the kitchen. He shortly returned once more with too plates of food. It smelled so good. I always loved how James mom cooked, she would make the most delicious food ever!.

 I put the movie , Act like a lady; Think like a man in the dvd player, so we could enjoy a movie while  we ate our delilous meal. Soon after our meal and the movie was finished so we sat there and talked about all kind of random stuff. I then glanced at the time.

9: 52 pm.

" its getting late, i have to go "  I moaned. I was having fun and i definitely didin't want to leave.

" Ugh do you have to? , okay well let me walk you to your car. "

We got up & made our way to my car. we hugged goodbye & I got in my car & I left.

Few minutes later I was home, at times like this I was really glad he lived only a few blocks away. I went inside & went straight to bed.
