2:The rude fellow

I heard a voice.

"Is it just me or is wearing the wrong side of clothes the style in vogue?". The voice was husky and I was already tripping until the lights in my brain came on and I looked down just to catch the sight of my top. And yeah, I had put on the wrong side. Shit! So much for my haste.

"And being dumb is part of it too, I guess". I heard the voice say again. Oh no! This is too much. Now he's gonna get it.

I gave a mock laugh and turned to look at the rude fellow. Believe me, I would have loved to stay and hear you talk about styles in vogue of which I'm sure you're an expert in and probably chip in a word or two, but sadly, I don't do small talks. I said, my face wearing a fake expression of sadness.

His mouth was slightly ajar with no words coming out. I took this as my chance to deal the second blow. "What?", I scoff. "Cat got your tongue", I pressed on. "You know, seeing how quiet you are, I think you would be perfect for the job of being a model for the dumb fashion style, I mean, whatever that is".

I walked away quickly, not because I was out of vocal missiles but because of the heat that was already rising to my face. Boy! I just dissed Mayo.

Olumayowa, popularly known as Mayo, is one of the hottest dudes in school, and apparently, the most popular.

I mean, I'm not a social butterfly but I know who he is.

Everybody knows who he is!

He won the award of the most attractive dude in his first year and has held the position ever since. He's in his 3rd year tho'.

I shouldn't have talked back at him. I knew too well that that was not the end of our little encounter.

I headed to the bathroom to adjust my clothes. I did just that. I checked my appearance to confirm that everything was in order. I headed back to class.

The lecturer was already there and there were no seats. From the corner of my eye, I saw Ameenah motioning for me to come over.

I was thankful that she was thoughtful enough to keep a seat for me but hey, what are friends for? I mouthed a "thank you" to her and a "hi" to Usman who was seated beside his girlfriend.

I found myself listening to what the lecturer was saying and in no time, the morning event was gone from my mind.

For a while, tho'.

I know this is short but the length of the chapters depends on your response.
