"i can't find the twizzlers!" richie shouts from the kitchen.
shit. i ate those last week.
"why don't you go out and buy some more?" i asked him. richie walked into the living room, a smirk on his face.
"you ate them." he accused. i shrugged.
"they're my favorites, you know that."
richie rolls his eyes.
"fine, i need five bucks," richie groans.
"five bucks! those twizzlers better be made of gold!"
"i wanna buy something for myself, too," richie laughed, before taking the five dollars from my hand.
"i'll be back in a few minutes, love you!" richie told me, before rushing out the door.
"love you too!"

i flipped the knob on the television, trying to find a decent channel.
suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
"it's open, richie!"
"it's not richie," a voice behind me called. i turned around slowly, only to see stan standing right in front of the door, fidgeting awkwardly.
"it always seems like you're coming to see me, one of these days i'm gonna show up at your house." stan laughs and turns towards the tv.
"i don't know why i'm here," stan tells me. i give him a half smile.
"what's wrong?"
stan only looks at the ground.
"do you know..." he pauses and shifts his feet slightly.
"what it's like to be jealous?" stan finishes.
"doesn't everyone?" i laugh, and beckon stan to sit.
"yeah, about like money and houses and stuff, but this jealousy is just.. different. i don't know," stan explains, his head in his hands.
"is it because of beverly and bill?" i ask. stan nods.
"i figured, but i don't know what to do besides listen," i tell him.
"i guess that's all i want, is someone to listen," stan says.
"well, it looks like i'm your guy!" i exclaim, and we both laugh.
so, stan ranted to me about his bad feelings, and i helped him as best as i could.
then, richie came home and we had a pretty awesome movie night.

the next morning, richie and i went to the park and laid in the grass.
"did you ever think.. things would turn out like this?"  he asked me.
"honestly, no." richie rolls over so he's facing me.
"me neither," he says.
"did you think we would happen?" he asks.
"i didn't know. i thought i liked you and you didn't like me back."
"same. i'm glad we finally grew some balls," richie laughed.
"i love you, loser."
"i love you too."
