I quickly wiped my tears and answered the phone in the most regular voice I could muster up.
"Hello?"
"Hey babe you just waking up? Can I FaceTime you?"
"Uhh.." I couldn't.. he would see Jay in our bed. "I actually had to jump up early to give the kids to Mom so I was heading back to sleep" I bite my lip.
"Oh ok, I just wanted to hear your voice, call me when your up. Love you."
"Love you too" I hung up.
I looked at Jay who was washing his face in the bathroom.
"I'm gonna head home and wash up, change clothes. We can do something later since you don't have the kids.
"That sounds good. But.. I'm not sure I can handle being alone right now."
He hesitated "I promise I'll only be about a hour" he rushed to me and gave me a hug. "Shower get dressed and I promise I'll be downstairs waiting to take you..... bowling , you love bowling ."
He rushed out the door before I could object. I need to find out who he is. I want to meet his family, I need to be sure. He reminds me too much of Jayvon.
I quickly pulled out a pen a started on my list. I wrote little things I remember about Jayvon. Physical things.

Birthmark next to bellybutton
Smiley face tattoo on left chest
... Jade on his left side
As I wrote the last word it dawned on me. Jay has never took his shirt off around me. Most of these things require me to see him shirtless.
If I see him shirtless that will be the end. I'd know he's not Jayvon and be able to move on.
I sighed with content as I put the paper in my side draw. I picked out a nice flowered romper to wear as I went in the bathroom.
Or It'll be the beginning of a lot of questions because... he is Jayvon.
I shook my head, why does my mind wonder.
I took my shower as I continued to be deep in thought
Flashback
I kissed Jayvon. "Your doing great my love."
He smiled for a second but then it turned to a wince. "Easy for you to say, your not getting your first tattoo in one of the most painful spots"
I laughed "It's your second, remember or matching smiles" I lifted up my shirt and showed him my smile on my pelvis. "Why can't I see" I pouted.
He laughed and winced. "Soon my love"
We sat there for thirty minutes as I tried to distract him from the pain.
"We're done, you can take a look in the mirror over there" the tattoo artist pointed to the mirror.
I walked over with him and looked in the mirror when I saw my name. My Name! On his body.
I gasped and looked at him. "Prince!" I said in shock.
"It's gonna say more but your name is most important" he smiled.
I hugged him tight and kissed his lips. "I love you" I breathed out.
End
A few days later
" Whooo Strike... Again...I'm kicking your butt" I laughed as I walked to my seat "how does it feel losing to me like that?"
Jay rolled his eyes as he picked his ball "like your a sore winner"
I laughed whatever. He rolled and left 3 pins ... "maybe you can get a spare"
"Shut up" he said motioning to throw the bowling ball at me.
" so your solution to win is to kill me?" I paused. " I guess that's the only way"
He laughed as he rolled a gutter ball.
"I win" I screamed.
"Your lucky it's not basketball l, I'd annihilate you" he said cocky.
"I highly doubt that." I said picking up my purse. "We can play now and that'll be another win to add to my 6-2" I laughed as we walked out the door . "Maybe then I'd get to see you shirtless" I said remembering. I been trying to see under his shirt but it's just no luck.
"Hey.!" He said sternly pointing at me. "Your married." We shared a laugh. "Plus we gotta get the kids."
"Excuses" I said getting in the car. " I'll call now" I took out my phone and noticed a miss call from Jake. Before I could call him back, he was FaceTime calling.
I press accept. "It's Jake" I told Jay as it was connecting. I put my phone in my lap as I put my seatbelt on.
"Babe you ok what are you doing.?" Jake said panicky as soon as it connected.
"I'm fine Jake calm down." I started the car. " I was bowling with Jay. The kids are at that movie with my mom, we're on our way to pick them up." I said driving off.
"Jays with you?" He questioned.
"Oh yea you guys never met" I stopped at the stop sign and handed Jay the phone. "Say hi then I gotta go babe I'm driving."
"Hey Ja- what the fuck" I heard Jakes voice.
" hey man it's nice to finally meet you sorry it couldn't have been in person." Jay said. Then he let out a laugh. " Instead of face to face its face to phone."
There was a pause I guess it was the connection. I was driving after all. Or Jake didn't find that funny. I mean it was cheesy.
"It's like a ghost yo-" It cut off before Jake could finish.
Jay forced out a chuckle "call failed. He said putting my phone down.
That night
"Night Daddy" the kids said into the phone.
"Night babies have fun in Disney I have a surprise when you come back."
"Ok" they said. " Mom don't forget to tuck us in" Minnie said before leaving.
"I won't baby I'm just gonna say bye to Daddy then I'm coming" I said as she walked out. "What's the surprise?" I asked when they were gone.
"Uhm.. I just miss my babies and my woman so I'm gonna fly home." He said low.
"Oh" I said. Lost for words. "Can you? I mean, it won't interfere with you becoming chief?" I bit my lip.
"Nope." He paused. "Jay seems nice." He said out of no where.
"Yea I guess. I'm gonna tuck the kids in" I said
"He doesn't remind you of anyone?" He said shakily.
I paused "like who?" I asked "not really why you ask."
There was silence " no reason. I'll see you in a week baby I Love you" he quickly hung up.
I sighed. "He reminds me of Jayvon" I whispered to myself.
