"I didn't do it Rita." I raised a brow in sarcasm.

"Lia, it's all over the papers."

"And you believe what you read do you? Did you believe the papers when they said you had a boob job? Did you believe them when they said you slept with James Arthur? No. But miraculously you believe them when it says that I've cheated on you with some random tart in a club."

"Can you please be quiet?" Rita threw a stern look. We were stood down a corridor of her studio where she was working on her new album.

I had been with Rita for eight months and I had quickly fallen madly in love with her. Everybody around her could see this. Her friends, her family and even the people she worked with. But for some reason, Rita had always had trust issues with me. I don't know why because I had never lied, cheated or betrayed her at all. Her insecurities had just got the better of her when she found the morning articles had me splashed all over chatting to some random brunette in the new club I had attended just last night.

Her eyes narrowed, I could see I had pushed all of the wrong buttons. "All those accusations that they made were about me. I knew they weren't true. How do I know that you didn't kiss her?"

"Because I'm stood here telling you the truth."

"Whatever. Just shut the fuck up!" The beautiful blonde screamed loudly as her tears slid down her face, causing my heart to break clean in two. She spun on her heels and strutted off confidently with her blonde locks bouncing behind her.

I couldn't watch her just walk away from me like this over something that wasn't even true.

"Rita, just stop."

The blonde didn't use words to reply but I saw her head shake.

"For god sake, Rita." I sprinted towards her and grabbed hold of her arm, making her stop dead in her tracks. I was so close to her, I could smell her sweet perfume. "What do I have to do to make you believe me?"

"Explain yourself." I heard her whimper.

"She came up to me asking me if I would like a drink. I refused. She was pretty drunk. She tried to make a move on me. I pushed her off and made my way home. That's it." I was now holding her in both of my arms, tight this time. Not giving her the choice to leave me.

"I don't deserve you." Rita whispered after a few moments of silence.

"What are you on about babe?"

"You're so beautiful, and kind. Everybody wants you. I don't deserve you."

"Don't be silly. I love you. If anything I don't deserve you." I gave the blonde a reassuring smile before puckering my lips for one of her soft kisses.
