Mystery Girl
A Percy Jackson short story
Annabeth walked trough the gates of the high school. Before she had left camp she had the mistake of telling Piper where she was going. That led to Aphrodite changing her whole outfit and doing makeup and her hair. She felt out of her element here dressed like this. Looking around for a certain sea green eyes boy she found a group of girls.
She hurried over to them. "Excuse me, do you know Percy Jackson?"
One girl laughed. "Do I know him? He's one of the hottest guys at this school; if you're here to try and date him you're wasting your time. He's got this mysterious girlfriend who he is devoted to."
The girl was pretty. Carmel hair pulled over one shoulder in beach waves. Pretty grey eyes sparkling and her face with perfect makeup.
Annabeth let out a soft laugh. "Well, I'm his mystery girl."
The Carmel hair snorted. "Get a load of this; blondie thinks that she's Percy's girlfriend."
The two other girls laughed with her. Annabeth felt her face heat up. Why couldn't a god of confidence appear now? It would be pretty useful! The doors to the school opened and the voices of several guys floated over Annabeth, one standing out. Her Seaweed Brain. Sea green met grey and he was running towards her.
When he got to her he lifted her and spun around. "When did you get here, I thought you were still in California?"
Annabeth laughed. "I took a few days before spring break off to see you."
Percy kissed her lips. "Well Wise Girl, how about a movie tonight?"
Annabeth smiles and knows that all the eyes are on the two. Maybe Seaweed Brain was smart after all.
