Yes I learnt under Mister Bulga. He taught me to open my eyes while I sing. I should be more open while I sing and I should have more confident in myself. At the beginning it was quite hard. But after a while, I noticed that I improved. Mister Bulga noticed it too. He told me that I'm a very smart and fast-learning girl.
Soon I'd participated on a song show in our Town. It was the first time that I stood on a stage. OMG! My heart beat really fast back then! I had the feeling that I would had passed out anytime! Luckily I didn't. When I entered the stage with all the other candidates I saw 4 juries before me. They told us the rule:
1. We are not allowed to read from a paper.
2. We need to sing a song already written by a singer.
3. Give up is allowed.
4. To pass the first round, 2 of the 4 juries must say "yes".
Those were the rules. I felt really nervous. So many people looked at us and I know so many of them! Some of my classmates had my name written on a big paper in their hands. They looked at me and smiled. I quickly smiled back and looked away. No! I can't open my eyes like this while I singing! There are way too many people here! We had to take a piece of a paper with a number on it. I had number 8 so I was the 8th, who will sing on the stage so still a little time to practice!
We went in our room - everyone got a room for themselves to practice - and the first one who will sing starts in a half hour. So I think I will have at least 1 hour time to practice! Good I need some time right now to calm myself down. I went in my room, looked in the mirror and took some mascara. Before I took out my song text someone knocked on the door. I opened it, Mister Bulga:
-And? Are you ready Sona?
-Uhm yes but I am really nervous right now.
-That is normal. It is your first time on a stage after all and it is a quite big one too. Calm, drink a little tea, practice a little and the most important thing is to have self-confidence. Don't stress yourself, got it?
-Yes sir. Thank you for your advices!
He nodded and left. I took the song text out, read and sang it. Yes! I know it! I sang it one more time with the music and it went well. I was really happy! Then I made tea for myself and though about my past. Wow only 3 months ago I'd never ever imagined that one day, I will stand on a real stage! For singing! I thought about how my future will look like after I became a famous singer. I will fly over the whole world and sing on every stage in every big city!
Suddenly someone knocked on my door:
-Miss Sona? Please prepare yourself you are the next one who's going to sing on the stage. Please be behind the stage in 5 minutes.
-Uhm thanks!
Finally! It's my turn now!
I prepared myself, looked in the mirror, smiled and left the room. I'm ready! On my way I heard someone rapping. When I arrived behind the stage I heard a boy's voice. He was rapping. I don't know who he is but I know he was really good! It was a song of Taio Cruz but I couldn't recognize the song. I looked through a hole and saw him standing on the stage. Just WOW! He sings very well! Then he finished. The juries are going to talk now. The first one began to say:
-You rap very well. Your voice is nice and it is synchronized with the music.
-As already said your voice is nice. You look to your public and you are not shy to sing openly.
-You have talents in rapping but you need to move a little more with your hands.
-Good.
Really? The last one said "good"? One word? Lol that jury... I looked at him. Hm an old man. Suddenly the announcer said:
-Thank you Ciel, please everyone give him applause! And now everyone, please welcome Sona McGlow!
It's my name! He said my name! Okay time to go on the stage! I entered the stage, the people who sat there gave me a big applause. WOW! It feels strange to stand here alone with the announcer on this big stage than before when we were all standing here! I feel so small and weak! But... NO time to go back!
-H-hello. My name is Sona McGlow.
-Hello Sona. How old are you? From where do you come?
-I'm 16 years old. I live here in this Town and I'm a highschooler from Highschool Bogman.
-Ok Sona. What song are you going to sing today?
-I'm going to sing Radioactive by Marina and the Diamonds.
