Emily's POV
I woke up nice and early and approached my window to see rain dripping from across the glass. Typical England weather, I thought when I remembered what day it was, the day we go to California! I run across the hallway and into Ruby's bedroom. "Ruby, wake up, we're going to the airport soon!" I yell accidentally startling her in her slumber. She jumped up and her eyes immediately opened, "Emily don't scare me like that!" she mumbled still half asleep.
"I'm sorry sis but I'm just so excited," I exclaim.
"You don't say," she sarcastically remarked. Ruby sometimes gives snarky comments or rude looks when she's tired. I guess I don't understand that..since I wake her up super early like every morning.

I go across the hallway but stop in my tracks by the sweet goodness that I inhale through my nose. I run down the stairs and I'm met with pancakes and fruit for breakfast, "Ruby it's your favorite!" I yell up the stairs. "I'm coming!" She yelled back. I sat down at the table with the smoothest countertop I've ever touched. I pick up my beautifully crafted glass plate and served myself two pancakes, applying maple syrup and three slices of butter across the scrumptious meal. Soon Ruby joined me at the table looking super hyped to sink her teeth into her favorite dish.
"You've suddenly perked up," I remark, she gives me a 'be careful' look when she dove into her pancakes as I slowly enjoyed mine with every bite. That's another thing that separates my sister and I.

Other than the fact she's a total pig when it comes to pancakes, she dives into every meal head first. I'm very cautious when it comes to decisions, but unlike me, she makes decisions as if she has no time to hesitate. Another thing is that she never puts anything on she could eat anything and still be skinny. We're twins yet I have to watch how much I eat while she goes to fit anything she can in her mouth. I finally finished my breakfast and ran up the stairs to get into my outfit for the day:

I started to brush and curl my hair when I heard Ruby running up the stairs. I look over at her as her footsteps came closer, when I see her bright expression in my doorway. "Go get ready Ruby we can't miss this flight," I exclaim. I watch as her big smile fades a bit when she remarked, "We aren't going to miss it so don't worry, take a chill pill."
That's another difference between me and my twin, Ruby thinks she had all the time in the world to do what she needs to do, but she's wrong. I on the other hand like to get things done quite quickly.

I finally managed to curl all my hair when I heard a suitcase zipper, I poke my head round the corner and saw something I usually wouldn't see, Ruby had actually packed her suitcase before me. I run over into her bedroom and see her sitting on the bed. "Come on, we don't have all day you know," she mocked. I couldn't help but snicker at her comment when Mum and Dad walked up the stairs to go and ready. I helped Ruby take her suitcase down when I saw her ukulele and flute. "Please tell me you aren't taking them," I ask.

I watch her smile grow bigger when she replied, "Em, I have too, I have to develop my skills like u should your art," I went on my phone and onto Instagram to be notified with collinskey has tagged you in a post. I shout Ruby over when she starts to scream, I feel a sudden bounce next to me when we saw a picture of the boys captioned
Proud of u two @EmilyRubyAdams can't wait to see what grades you get! ♥️

I immediately liked the post and saw Mum and Dad come down the stairs with their suitcases, I suddenly heard the faint sound of a car horn when Mum yelled, "The taxis here!" I look over Ruby who just smirks at me when she opens the door to the rain. "Why did I wear my shorts?" She asked disappointed as she saw the rain drops across her legs. "Because you don't think!" I remarked not taking my eyes off my phone. I feel the grasp on my phone get weaker when I look up and see Ruby holding it. "Now who doesn't think a lot," she yelled and ran towards the taxi picking our rucksacks up first before slamming the taxi door in my face. How this taxi ride is going to be a long one..
