Maya Mars (On Hold)

Chapter 3

Logan and Dick watched as Maya made what looked like a deal with Eli. They guessed it was for the new kid Wallace. They had heard what happened.

  Logan was ready to go and do something when he saw Weevil grab Maya's wrist.

  He didn't like when a guy touched her in any way. Specially one he really didn't like.

Logan would never admit it to anyone, but he has basically worshipped Maya since they were kids.

There was a time when Logan was actually kind to Maya. They were very young, so he wasn't sure if she remembered, but he used to follow her around and play with her.

They were only five years old so all that social status crap came in later.

Sadly though, when they turned six, Logan had already started getting popular.

He still wanted to stay close to her, but no one he hung around wanted her around.

He gave into peer pressure and stopped being her friend.

On top of that, his dad, Aaron Echolls, the movie star, beat him a lot. He is still abusive to this day.

Everything was just too much for Logan and his heart became hardened, but what no one realized, not even Logan himself, is that he is a genuinely good person with a good heart.

He loved Lilly and cared about her, but he never got over his first love. Maya was everything to him and it killed him to bully her, but so many people would be against them if they were together. It was also a lot of the fact that he didn't want to completely admit his feelings and so he took his frustrations out on her.

He felt awful for it but he didn't know how to deal with his feelings. Everything was so messed up for him.

He never cared that she was Mexican and thick. He just used it for his facade.

Sure he made stupid jokes and comments about it to Weevil and them, but he didn't actually care.

He knew she could take care of herself so he simply just walked away from the big pillar that he and Dick were hiding behind from across the quad.

All the while Logan had no idea that his obnoxious player friend Dick has had a crush on Maya since middle school.

Dick took a second glance back at the gorgeous Maya before following after him.

It had been two days since Maya devised a plan to help Wallace.

  It all ended with Maya and Veronica with the video of Eli's boys stealing. It took a lot for them to get it, but it worked out.

  Maya and Veronica walked into the court room and sat down. They gave a slick smile to the lawyer that was representing the boys. He was a friend of Keith's.

  Sheriff Lamb was at the bench for questioning. They put on the tape they thought would show the boys stealing, when it was actually a video of one of the deputies buying a hooker.

  Maya and Veronica had waited outside a bar in their car and took the video. They swapped it.

  Sheriff Lamb looked dumbfounded and everyone else was shocked.

  The judge dismissed the case and the boys were let off.

  Cliff McCormack, their lawyer, got up and turned around towards the girls and gave them a huge grin.
