"What" Emily says clearly shocked. "S-Shes dead" I say again choking on my words. My eye are now wet and tears are soaked onto my shirt and cheeks. Emily is balling her eyes out too and the driver tries to keep calm but fails. "I'm so sorry to interrupt but where am I taking you girls again" he asks politely. "Oh right, well um" I fumble with my words. "To the cheapest hotel please" I sigh at the thought of my mother being gone. "Are you sure, you girls seem pretty young to be staying in a hotel alone" he says sounding worried. "Its alright, we'll be fine" I tell the man. We have been through worse. "If you need some pace to stay you could stay with my family and I" he informs us. "I wouldn't want to be a burden" I say telling the truth. "Nonsense, your staying with us" "I'm Peter by the way" he says.
We soon arrive at a big beautiful house. No way could he live here. We pull into the drive way and get out. "Whoa" Emily says. I nod my head. We walk inside "We have company" Peter yells.

A lady walks out from the kitchen "Hello there" she says before hugging her husband. "So this is Kate and Emily, they had no where to stay so I offered our home" He says. His wife smiles "Well it's nice to meet you, my name is Ingrid and our sons name is Chris" she says pulling me into a hug. "Where is he?" Peter asks. "In the studio with the boys" she tells him. He nods his head and walks off. "Would you girls like some food?" she asks. Emily nods her head. "Alright I'll go make some sandwiches" she says as she walks off. We eventually find the lounge room and sit down.
After we had dinner three boys walk down from the stairs. "I'll see you tomorrow right" one boy asks. "Yeah man" another one says. Two of the boys walk outside and the other one stays behind. He turns around and walks our way. He stares at me in complete confusion. "Mum" he yells. "Yes sweetie" she yells back. "There's two strangers in our living room" he yells once again. Ingrid walks in the room and chuckles. "This is Kate and Emily and they will be staying with us for a while" she explains. "This is Chris" she says pointing to the boy. I nod my head. "Well I'll show you to your room girls" she says walking upstairs.
"Are you sure you don't need anything else" Ingrid asks. "No thank you, I think we are just going to go to seep. Thank you so much for letting us stay" I say. "No problems, goodnight" she says before closing the door. I grab my stuff and head towards the bathroom. Opening the door I see Chris brushing his teeth. I walk in and start to do the same. We stand in awkward silence until Chris finishes. "Who are you and why are you even here" he asks. "I'm Kate" I say shocked a bit at his choice of words. "And why are you here" he says. "Because your dad offered us to stay" I say confused. "Whatever" he walks out. I sigh and hop into bed drifting off to sleep.
~The Next Day~
I wake up to the sound of my alarm going off. I get up and open the blinds. "Ugh really" Emily groans. "Yep we have to get up and get ready" I say walking to the bathroom. I chuckle to myself but accidentally bump into a tall figure. "Watch it" Chris says. "S-Sorry" I mutter.
I get to the bathroom and have a quick shower. Once I'm done I do my makeup, cover my bruises, get changed and tie my hair into a messy bun. (Outfit below)

"Mmm" I say to myself as I walk downstairs. "It smells amazing" I tell Ingrid. "Why thank you honey" she says putting a pancake on a plate. "Could you please get all the plates out for me?" she asks. "Sure" I say. I grabbed the plates and sat down to eat. Soon Chris came down. "Kate can I speak to you please" he says. Damn I was about to eat pancakes, really come on. "Sure" I say getting up from the table. We walk down the hall and into an empty room.
"I just wanted to say sorry about before, I was really rude to you and I shouldn't have" He says looking away. "It's okay Chris but we are living in the same house so we should try to get along" I say back. "Maybe I could invite my friends over and we can get to know each other more?" he suggests. "Sure, now can I eat my pancakes please" I ask. "Sure" he says chuckling. "Yay" I say jumping up and down like a kid. (A/N: Chris is older by a year just letting you know cause I don't know if I said that)
After breakfast Chris had to go to school so Emily and I spent the day at home. (A/N: Skip because I have writers block lol)
~Skip To After School~
The door swings open and three boys run inside laughing. I just look at them with the impression 'I was watching Netflix your interrupting please stop'. One of the boys turns around "Oh babes whats up" and puts his arm around my shoulder. "Um Ethan no please don't" he pushes 'Ethan's' arm from around my shoulder. "Why these hot babes are here" he says back. "Ethan these were the girls" Chris says. Ethan's expression changed and he looked shocked and embarrassed. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME OMG I'M SO EMBARRASSED!!!" He yells. Chris just laughs. The other boy sits next to me. "I'm Jakob, don't mind Ethan he just got out of a long relationship and he's finding it hard to deal with" he whispers the last part.
A car pulls into the drive way. Walking in are Ingrid and Peter. "Kate we need to talk" Ingrid tells me.
