Tatsu's POV
I stared at the end of his weapon and thought about what he was asking me. I don't know if I should fight but if I am to travel and gain their trust I guess this is one way to go about it. I never really thought about using this weapon ever again but it is the only one I have so might as well. I ignored the boy that was yelling at Hak and got out my bag and pulled out a weapon that had been given to me as a gift.
(I don't own this, I went on google and found it and thought it was really cool! I am not sure who the creator is but there is a name on the picture )
I stared at the sword in my hand and put my bag down.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING! Don't fight!" The boy said.
I could see Hak's grin grow as he watched me unsheathe my blade and got into a stance. I bend my legs a bit more to make it seem like I was slouching or something. It was a strange form but it was how I was taught so it sticks, also I learned to tweak it a bit to accommodate me. I wasn't going to strike first so I waited until Hak pointed his weapon at me.
"You know that stance is very strange. Makes you look unbalanced," he said. I think he wanted to mock me but I'm not sure. I nodded my head at him, agreeing. At first I didn't like this type of style but like most things, you get use to it. Hak tan up to me and struck down hard on me but I only moved to the side. He seemed a slight confused and blinked his eyes a bit more.
"I wished Tatsu wouldn't fight using that style," Zeno said. He had a sad look in his eyes. It was for Hak.
"Why?" Pretty boy asked.
"That type of style is meant to get the opponent very sick after a while and when he gets hit with that sword he won't be able to continue. It's a very dirty fighting style," Zeno said looking at Tatsu. "Also since Tatsu is very strong it makes the effects 10x worse."
I swiftly dodge every move Hak made and saw he was slowing becoming unbalanced and agitated. Zeno is right, this type of fighting is dirty. Unfair.
That's when I saw my opening to strike after Hak got a small tear on my clothing as he tried to strike. I am impressed on how he was able to at least get one scratch on me. I grabbed my sword , the colors gleaming in the little sunlight peaking through the trees, and turned it so it was the hilt pointing at Hak and jabbed it towards his stomach, he coughed and fell to the ground. He was weak and having some trouble breathing. I guess I still hit him too hard. I went to my bag, putting my sword away, and grabbing a small black box and opened it. It looked like candy but it was made to help with the effects of the sword.
I grabbed Hak's face in my hand and shoved the "candy" in his mouth and made him swallow. He slightly gagged and coughed as he tasted the nastiness of the so called candy.
"What the hell was that!"Hak said. He spat out to the ground, trying to get the taste out. I looked to Zeno and started to sign.
'You tell him.'
"That was a type of medicine to help with the side effects of fighting with Tatsu. I never really understood her fighting but it is just how it works." He said. I watched as Hak got over the horrible taste of the candy and I can't blame him. I remember when I first tasted it, I felt like shoving my own hand down my throat to get it out but was restrained from doing so. Hak quickly recovered and got up.
"Your fighting is very strange; I don't understand what you did but it was like everything got sucked out, even my breath." He finished saying. I looked at him....I smiled a little under my restraints. He was quite interesting, usually people feel like everything is lost even with the 'antidote' and tend to become a shell. I am surprised how mentally strong he is.
Congratulations on not dying Hak
A/N:
Sorry for the short chapter but I feel so blocked whenever I start this story. Sometimes I wanna stop but at the same time I wanna get it right...I honestly don't know what to do. Suggestions?
