Hey!
I love this freaking picture! ^^
Summary: Rose and Merlin decide to give their relationship a try despite the trouble it's bound to bring.Days passed.
Ever since the moment they'd kissed, neither Rose nor Merlin could keep the memory from their minds. It was obvious that they were crazy about each other. But they were doomed from the start and they both knew it.
They both tried to fight it but there was this undeniable attraction to each other that they couldn't shake and no amount of time would make it go away.
If only their families weren't feuding. Maybe then they could be together. Why must there be a feud in the first place?
One day, Rose was having a fitting done for her coronation when her father came in to check on her.
"You look positively beautiful!" He exclaimed."Thank you, Father."
"You seem distracted." Her father noticed.
"I was wondering something."
"And what would that be?"
"Well I was wondering why we are feuding with the Emrys'."
"We have been feuding with them for a long time, for many generations, darling daughter."
"But why? What have they done to us to make us hate them?"
"Many things."
"But what could've possibly started this?"
"I don't know. We've been feuding for a long time. I'm not sure if anyone alive even knows why all this started."
"Then why feud with them any longer? Surely you can make peace with the Emrys'?"
"There is no chance!" Nicholas replied harshly. He then calmed himself and placed a gentle hand on his daughter's face. "Rose, when you take the throne, you will understand."
(Very cliché don't ya think?)
Rose wasn't convinced.

She wasn't the only one.
That very day, Merlin found himself asking his mother the same question.
"Mother, why do we hate the Swan's so much?"
"Why wouldn't we? They are vile, cruel people!"
"But how did this feud between us and them begin?"
"No one alive knows but I'll bet anything those Swan's started it!"
"You mean to say we are feuding with the Swan's and no one knows why?!"
"Now don't fret about it, Merlin!"
"Mother! How can you want this to continue? If no one remembers the reason for this feud, wouldn't the logical thing to do be to forgive them?"
"Of course not!" Regina's gaze softened when she looked at her favorite son. "Believe me, when you're older, you'll understand."
Merlin wasn't convinced.
As soon as he left his mother, Merlin went back to his balcony to watch Rose who was taking a walk with her friends. She was so beautiful; he couldn't take his eyes off her.All he wanted was a chance to be with her again. He'd do ANYTHING it took.
That night, just as the moon had risen overhead, Rose stood out on her balcony, deep in thought. Merlin had snuck out to see her and could now hear her talking to herself.
"Oh, Merlin, are we really doomed to never see each other again? Why did you have to be an Emrys? If you weren't, we'd have nothing to fear. But you are and my father will never approve and that tears me apart inside. What's in a name anyway?
"You'd still be the same if you weren't an Emrys and there would still be a fire in my heart for you. Names are meaningless. And at any rate, they shouldn't be the thing to keep us apart should they?"
Merlin couldn't help but run out and yell, "No! It shouldn't! I couldn't have said it better myself my love!"
Rose was understandably surprised. "Oh my! Did you just hear all of that? What are you doing here?"
"Oh well, I came because I just really wanted to see you again."
"Are you crazy?!" Rose said in a hushed tone as Merlin climbed a tree next to her balcony so he could be near her. "If my father finds you here, he'll kill you!"
"Find me? That's impossible!" He climbed up to her balcony. "And, just so you know, there is a fire in my heart for you too." He said with a smile on his face.
"You were eavesdropping!" Rose accused.
"Just a little, love."
He leaned in to give her a gentle kiss. "Can I see you tomorrow?"
"Yes! But not here."
"Don't worry. I know a place or two where we can meet. Just trust me."
"I do." They fell into each other's arms.

As time passed, Merlin and Rose met up many times to see one another. They spent many of their hours in each other's arms.
They also got to know each other better and the more time went by, the more they fell in love.
Being kept apart by a feud that they wanted no part of was killing then both inside. That is why they made a decision that would change everything...forever....
To be continued....Yayyy! It's starting to come along a little easier now.
Anyhurrr...I really love the sass in the above picture and here's another just for you guys:
