New start

Jason's POV

We walked inside the class room laughing and joking about old times. The bloodsuckers stared at Daisy and I. I smirked once I made eye contact.

"Daisy. Will you come eat lunch with me? It'd be nice to hang out some more." I smiled softly at her.

"That sounds great! Meet me at the school garden." She smiled brightly up at me. God how I missed her smile. It looks perfect on her. I wrapped my arms around her pulling her into my chest. I pulled away and ruffled her hair. She pouted at me as she fixed her hair.

"Bye Jason!" She said waving as I walked out the door.

"See you at lunch." I closed the door behind me and went up to the roof to think.

'After all this time she still puts others before herself.'

'She still understands me.'

'When I heard she isolated herself from humanity I couldn't help but feel I was the one to blame. Was I?'

'Why did she forgive me?'

'Does she actually forgive me or did she just say it to make me feel better?'

Before more thoughts could began to fill my mind the lunch bell rang. I raced down stairs to the garden and waited. As I waited I saw a chick fall out of its nest. I picked it up gently as I could before standing on my toes to place it back. I could hear a few girls squealing.

"Who knew he had a soft spot for animals?"

"Do you think he is good with kids as well?"

Many more comments went around but I was more focused on finding Daisy. She sat on a bench looking around.

"Looking for me?"

"There you are! Hurry up and sit down so we can eat."

A week later

Daisy and I are back the way before. We've been hanging out every day. The brothers seem to be getting jealous. They don't seem to understand she is a free spirit. She will do what she wants and there is no stopping her. She is the most stubborn person I've ever met. She's my best friend I wouldn't trade her for all the money in the world. Something has been bothering me though. She seems to have become closer to them. It makes me uneasy. They could drain her of all her blood if they wanted too. I don't like her being with them. I'm afraid she may fall in love with one of them.
