I rushed out of my room knowing that I will be late for school and just snatch a bread laying on my plate as I ran to my door and dash out of my house. My body they felt so hot and my head felt so heavy I couldn't wake up properly this morning. It's unusual for me to wake up feeling horrible this it's usually my friend, Yasmine who feels this way all the time.

I quickly went to her house and ring her doorbell. No replies. I tried ringing it again. Dead silence. I pulled a hesitant smile. I woke up late today and in a few minutes, the school bell will probably ring. I took the key out of my pocket, and I unlock the door. I sighed we're going to be late, and this is going to be my first time being late to school.

I headed in the room is clearly dark I turn on the lights beside the door. I have no time to lose and walked towards the stairs and towards her room, the master room. I open the door to see her sleeping on the bed she was practically drooling on her pillow.

"Yasmine," I shook her awake. She opens her sleepy eyes.

"Hey, Rose," she said with her raspy sleepy voice. "What time is it?"

I looked at my watch. "It's 6:50 dude. We're going to be late."

Her eyes open widely as she quickly took off her nightdress. She turns around blushing at me. "Can you wait for me outside please, Rose?"

"Sure no prob. Just be quick." I walked out her door and went down the stairs. She is a neat freak there was not a single mess or things were on the floor. I went to the kitchen and open up her refrigerator there was no packed lunch did she forget. I guess she'll be eating school lunch with me today.

I went into her living room and sat down on her beige sofa. Her family is seriously rich and I have no idea what her family does to have so much wealth. She did tell me that her family came to a long line of being famous hunters. They specialize in killing supernatural creatures especially to a supernatural being who are vampires.

She told me that it was creatures of the night who feeds on the blood of the humans mercilessly and either kills them by drinking all their blood or turning them into one of them if bitten by one of them, but the worst part is humans who turn into vampires their physical bodies start to change and lose their humanity as they start to crave for the blood of the humans. However, there is one special being that is on top of them which are the purebloods the true monsters of the night, sinister, and cold-blooded, the ruler of the vampires. They have disappeared over a few centuries the cause was unknown, but the hunters are still aware of them and are ready for them anytime.

I wince in pain strange sounds played in my head and memories. I put my hand up over my head standing up to stop the pain it was not helping. I wanted to scream when all of a sudden the pain just subsided immediately.

I need to eat my medicine pulling out a box out of my black skirt I took two white pills and swallow it down my throat without any water. I am glad that my mother had made these pills. I tried to catch my breath for a few minutes when all of a sudden my friend came running down holding a gun looking like a serial killer. She looks at me and confused.

"I thought I sense bloodlust," she said. She walked beside looking deep into my eyes. "Your eyes have gone more blue, Rose. As well as your skin are getting more pale. Are you alright?" she sounded serious and worried.

"I'm fine, but I think you should put that gun away." I could feel sweat coming down of my temple. This is my first time seeing Yasmine acting this way. I could definitely feel danger coming out of her.
