. . .

Before my memory turned dark, I remember the flowers growing behind my head. It was beautiful during that moment, I could feel every sentiments he showed towards the dying grass. I didn't mind the whole throwing me off and the pain that stupid branch gave me but I still memorized the details of what happened to everyone. My fingers felt the roots flowing into my wrist towards to my heart, it wasn't beating properly whenever I feel that sun averting it's gaze away from me.

It was saddening, to be honest. I have to make efforts just to feel my tender heart to beat again and to know what it's like to smell that fresh air. The sound of that white noise in the background after throwing me across the hallway until I hit the wall was annoying. He managed to throw me again even if I didn't do anything wrong to him. Too bad I didn't care about the fucks that he gave me, faking emotions must've been too hard for Charley-Charl Charl.

Call me crazy or insane but I never saw a man that can make me feel my own heartbeat, I never cared about anyone who tries to talk to me or sees me with their colorful eyes. Thomas was his name, was it? Right. The one who's gaze fell upon me, I have never seen a gaze that's like the thorns growing in the garden behind the green bushes and the white little daisies. It was so fascinating even if he just averts his eyes for me, the details about him are enough. Because I already knew that I was already scrutinizing him.

I would take note of his expressions, his details about what happened or what he did earlier. The bell only ruined it for me but I didn't care less, I still remember every details when our eyes met each other.

I woke up and blinked my eyes multiple times, I was in a white couch alone. I felt a tight yet comforting object wrapped around my head. I slowly touched it, finally realizing that it was a white bandage to stop my wound from bleeding. I sighed and sat up slowly, looking around the clinic.

There were two beds and one huge curtain between them. James was unconscious on the right side, multiple bandages around his body and a compression bag on his black eye. Someone was holding the compression bag lightly but I couldn't see who it was. Then I noticed Alexander on the other side, groaning lightly at the pain. George Washington was next to him, talking with a low voice with another man. I assume that it was the principal but I don't give a crap about him, I continued to sit up completely and moved my leg until a slight pain traveled into my arm.

I hissed silently but it attracted a small attention, the two men stopped talking to each other and the girl that was next to James placed the compression bag on the table and went towards me. There was a tag name on her formal dress.

         Martha Washington

"Oh dear, you're awake." Her voice was calm, she grabbed a cup and gets some water from a water dispenser, "Would you like some water?"

I only nodded, looking at the dark-skinned man sleeping next to James. He was sitting on the chair, his arms supporting his tired head on the side of the bed while his friend was still unconscious. I could see the tear stains on James's cheeks, it's no surprise since he looks traumatized after getting beaten up by Charles. I felt my heart beat again as I look at Thomas, it was slower this time. I didn't knew how fast everything just happened, all because of the time ticking in the background.
