Patrick looked in the mirror and fixed his teal fedora for the last time. He was nervous, for obvious reasons. He was emo, his friends were emo, and even his pet bunny,  Marshy , was emo. It was risky, dangerous even, to invite them to a pastel themed sleep over. He was especially nervous as to what Pete would think. Would he disown him completely? Would he look at him in disappointment? Who could possibly know for sure?

"PATRICCCCCKKK!"

It was his mom, "Yeah?" Patrick screamed back.

"Will you come here please??" Patrick sighed and looked in the mirror one more time, his pastel pink shirt and black pants representing his fighting personalities. He turned off the bathroom lights and closed the door behind him. He awkwardly jogged to the kitchen down the hall, where his mom was messing up the pink frosting on some vanilla cupcakes.

"Ah," Patrick thought, "the 'homemade cupcake look' hack".

"Your friends should be here any minute, put these cupcakes on the coffee table in the living room and wait for your friends by the door." Patrick's mother handed him the plate. She was always very precise, and she found entertainment in one up-ing every mom on the block. Patrick walked into the living room which was full with blue, pink, yellow, and purple balloons. Patrick had told his friends that there would be a special theme to the party, but he wouldn't tell them what it was. They all had their own ideas as to what it was. Phil was hoping for a Buffy the Vampire Slayer  theme while Gerard had an all black, funeral rendezvous in mind. Patrick laughed to himself, they were all far from the truth. Right as Patrick sat down on the couch to wait for somebody to arrive, the doorbell rang. Patrick's heart rate sped up. He looked through the peephole and saw that it was the inseparable Daniel Howell and Phillip Lester.
