Smiling on You

Okay.. This is going to be different for me because a friend of mine lost her mama and I decided to write a poem for her. This is new to m because I usually won't do things like this, but she seems to have a rough time with it; just as we all would.. I am going into this blindly and writing as if I were in her shoes.

I know she's smiling,

Smiling down on you.

I know she is cheering,

Just like you hoped she would do.

I Bet her wings

are the purest of all the whites.

I bet she loves you

With all her might.

I know she's singing,

Singing to you.

I bet she is saying

"Don't give up baby, do the best you can do!"

I bet her smile is brighter

Than all of your days.

I bet she smells roses

Of every shade.

I know you miss her,

Sweetie, you are not alone.

I know you're hurting,

But soon this pain will be gone.

I bet she's telling you to

Keep your head up.

And I bet you

She is giving you the best of luck.

I know you hate this,

The pain you feel.

Stand strong,

She is cheering for you.
