Betty had dragged Archie into one of the rooms. "Archie what the hell was that?" Archie was laying down on the bed, whispering to himself. "Did you know, Archie? Did you know?!" Archie nodded his head. "Oh my god Archie, you were lying this whole time? If you were lying to me about that, then how did the breakup really go Archie? I want the truth." Betty sat down next to Archie as he sat up. "It was terrible. He thought I was lying at first, because you guys had seen each other a few days before, and then the serpents showed up, and I had to tell him that you had wanted to do it for weeks, and that you couldn't bring yourself to do it." Betty's jaw dropped. "Arch, Archie Archie Archie, why would you do that?!"
"Betty I'm so sorry. I kept it civil at first, but when I found out he was a serpent and he had been hiding that from you, I got so angry an-" Betty shushed him and hugged the ginger. "It's okay Archie. I understand." Archie looked at Betty. "Do you want to go home? I understand if you do." Betty shook her head no. "I can't walk away. I just cant. I've got to face reality." Betty got up and opened the door. "You coming?" She smiled as he got up and followed her into the crowded dance floor, on their way to the drinks.

In the past five minutes Betty had had six drinks and was feeling kind of tipsy. She hadn't run into Jughead at all in that time, and she didn't care if she did. "Okay Betty, you need to slow down, your drinking too much." Betty nodded her head and grabbed Archie's hand. "Let's dance." She dragged him onto the dance floor, laughing and dancing at the same time. Archie tried to have a good time, but once he saw Veronica and Reggie dancing, he wasn't so happy anymore. Betty whispered in his ear "I'll be right back. Bathroom." He nodded as she walked away and up the stairs.

She used the bathroom quickly but looked at herself in the mirror for a long time. She was tipsy, but not drunk. She was dizzy, but she could still think. And she was thinking alot. She was looking at all of her insecurities, pimples, fat spots. She knew that Jughead didn't hook up with Toni just because he was sad. He and Toni had started liking each other  while Betty and Jughead were still dating, and that made Betty mad and sad. She started crying, which turned into sobbing. She walked into one of the back rooms that no one was using and laid on the bed. She heard someone open the door, but she was too tired to check who it was. "She just mumbled "get out, this room is taken." The person came and sat down next to Betty, and she thought it was Jughead, but she realized it was a womans body. She sat up to see Toni sitting there, smiling at her. "How does it feel Betty? I know your jealous. I can see it in your eyes." Toni slid her hand against Betty's cheek and pouted. "How sad, little miss perfect didn't get everything she wanted. Well hey, you still have Archie right?" Betty continued crying, not saying a word. "Your never, going to be good enough for Jughead. Ever." Toni laughed and walked out of the room, slamming the door. Betty got up, and started to walk towards the door, opening it and crashing into Jughead. She looked at him for a minute in shock as he held her at the waist. "Betty.." she ran out of his arms, then out of the house. Archie saw her run and immidietly ran after her, Jughead doing the same. Betty stopped at the end of the stairs, quietly sobbing. As the two boys came to a stop at the top of the stairs, Betty got a phone call from an unknown number. She looked at Archie as she picked it up. A deep raspy voice she knew as the black hood said "hurts doesn't it?" Betty only let it go that far, because she hung up her phone and threw it across the gravel, screaming. Archie ran to Betty hugging Betty as they both fell to the ground. Veronica walked out of the house and was confused more than ever. "What the hell happened?" Jughead had stayed at the top of the steps, staring at Betty and Archie. Veronica walked over to Jughead. "Aren't you supposed to be comforting your girlfriend?" Jughead sighed. "She broke up with me through Archie, didn't you hear? Aren't you supposed to be comforting your best friend?" Veronica was shocked at first. "She got into a fight with me and we're not friends anymore." Jughead and Veronica both looked at each other worryingly, as they walked over to Betty. "Betty, why are you cutting people out of your life? First v, now me, you can talk to us, whatever's going on you can-" Archie cut him off. "You both should go. Veronica got up. "Oh what, you two are dating now? Both of you are pushing me and Jughead away. Why? What do you guys know that we don't?" Betty finally stood up. "I'm sorry, I really am, but I can't be friends with either of you, and you can't try to make that better. It's best if we just get over it and split ways." Betty was looking down as Veronica shed a tear. "Screw you Betty." She said, as she walked back inside. Jughead just stood there, not knowing what to do. "Jughead, go and be with Toni, please. Don't stand there looking at me like that. Just go." So he did. It was just Archie and Betty now.
