'It would be interesting.'

Colress couldn't help but replay that reason in his head over and over again. It must have been such an odd train of thought. The answer in itself would be an oddity for any question. It offered no explanation of why it would be interesting, it was just such a rare response, a rare answer, a rare explanation, a rarity.

And Colress loved rarities.

They were like precious gems that weren't yet on the periodic table, one just had to find a chemical formula for them. They were like the Pokémon at the bottom of the ocean, everyone knew they were there, but had no idea how they survived at the bottom of the sea. They were like fossils from prehistoric ages, there were theories and stories about how them came to be, but no one knew for sure.

Rarities were so interesting.

You were so interesting.

You, (Y/N) (L/N), were a very interesting rarity and Colress just had to examine you, analyse you, figure out how you worked.

And your answer replayed in his mind again and again.

"Why do you want to be part of team Plasma, (Y/N)?"
"Because It'd be interesting."

Colress was an oddity in this world of normalities, at least that's what you thought.

Oddities were one of your favourite things. You had to find out what made them different from the norm. What made them odd, what made them special, what made them tick.

When you found this electric eyed oddity, you couldn't help but smile. His odd swirl haircut was interesting, what did it look like when it was wet? That thought made you smile. You smiled a lot, you realised. But that was because you had found an oddity. Oddities were interesting things.
